2003–04 Saint Joseph's Hawks Men's Basketball Team
The 2003–04 Saint Joseph's Hawks men's basketball team represented Saint Joseph's University during the 2003–04 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The group is one of 25 teams to finish the regular season undefeated in men's division I basketball. They were the last to do so until Wichita State did it in 2014. Under 9th-year head coach Phil Martelli, the Hawks held an overall record of 27–0 and a conference record of 16–0 in the regular season before losing to Xavier in the A-10 tournament and Oklahoma State in the East Regional Final of the NCAA tournament. Phil Martelli
Philip Martelli Sr. (born August 31, 1954) is an American college basketball coach, who is currently the associate head coach for the Michigan Wolverines men's basketball, Michigan Wolverines. As the former head coach of the Saint Joseph's Hawks men's basketball, St. Joseph's Hawks, he led Saint Joseph's to seven NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, NCAA Tournaments and six National Invitation Tournament, NIT appearances in 24 seasons as head coach. Playing career Martelli was a point guard for Widener University. As point guard, he was part of the NCAA Men's Division III Basketball Championship, NCAA Division III tournament teams in 1974-75 and 1975–76, and set the school's single season and career assist marks. The Old Dominion Monarchs men’s basketball team represents Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, United States in NCAA Division I men's competition. Pat Carroll (born September 10, 1982) is a retired American professional basketball player. He is a shooting guard who is a three-point specialist. Carroll is 6'5" is tall and weighs 190 lbs. Dwayne Clinton Jones (born June 9, 1983) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is currently an assistant coach for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Early life Jones was born in Morgantown, West Virginia and raised in Chester, Pennsylvania. Jones graduated from the American Christian School of Aston, Pennsylvania in 2001. Delonte West
Delonte Maurice West (born July 26, 1983) is an American former professional basketball player. He played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Boston Celtics, Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Dallas Mavericks. He also played professionally for the Fujian Xunxing and Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association and the Texas Legends of the NBA G League. Jameer Lamar Nelson Sr. (born February 9, 1982) is an American former professional basketball player who serves as assistant general manager for the Delaware Blue Coats of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Saint Joseph's Hawks, where he was named national college player of the year in 2004. Drafted 20th overall in the 2004 NBA draft, Nelson spent the first ten years of his NBA career with the Orlando Magic.
