Esteghlal F
Esteghlal or Esteqlal ( fa, استقلال) is a Persian word meaning ''independence''. It is used as a prefix by many Iranian association football clubs and Armenian football clubs. Parviz Boroumand
Parviz Boroumand Sharif ( fa, پرویز برومند شریف , born 30 May 1974, in Tehran) is an Iranian football goalkeeper who currently is head coach of Dore 98 F.C. in Iran 2nd division League. Club career Broumand previously played for IPL sides Esteghlal and Rah Ahan. Broumand was also formerly an Iranian national team player who was reserve goalkeeper in the 1998 FIFA World Cup squad. His most memorable performance was for Esteghlal FC against Persepolis FC in 2001 when he struck a Persepolis player Payan Rafat in the face starting one of the largest fights in the history of the rivalry. After this game Broumand and several players from both sides were handed suspensions, his being the largest at 18 months was eventually shortened. In 2007, he announced his retirement from football after finishing 2006–2007 season with Rah Ahan in Iran Pro League, but in 2012 he returned to professional football after six years absence in age of 38. Saeid Lotfi (born February 25, 1981 in Tehran, Iran) is a former Iranian football player, who played in IPL team Esteghlal and Paykan. He usually played as a defender. Biography Lotfi has a handful of appearances for ''Team Melli''. He has a strong physique and can play in defense and midfield with ease and confidence. His towering headers and tackling remains his strongest attribute. Lotfi has been given few opportunities by Esteghlal F.C. In the IPL 2005/06 season, he only played five full matches for them. Yadollah Akbari ( fa, یدالله اكبری, born July 1, 1974) is a former Iranian football player who played in the midfielder position. Alireza Mansourian ( fa, علیرضا منصوريان; born 2 December 1971) is an Iranian football coach and retired player. Club career Mansourian was born in Tehran. During his career, he played for Singapore S.League clubs: Balestier Khalsa FC and Geylang United along with the Iranian club Esteghlal F.C. He moved to Greek club Skoda Xanthi in 1998 after Xanthi fans contributed to raise the amount of money needed to complete the transfer. He played for Skoda Xanthi for one and a half seasons, taking part in 23 games. In December 1999, Mansourian went to Greek club Apollon Smyrnis for six months where he played seven games and scored once. After Apollon's relegation, he continued his career in Germany with FC St. Pauli where he remained for two seasons. Ali Samereh ( fa, علی سامره; born November 23, 1977) is an Iranian football coach and former player. He played for Iranian clubs Fajr Sepasi, Esteghlal and Mes Kerman, for Italian side Perugia, and for UAE clubs Al-Shaab and Ajman. He usually played as a striker. Mohamad Navazi ( fa, محمد نوازی, born September 5, 1974) is a retired Iranian football player who mostly played for Esteghlal Tehran, He usually played as a right midfielder.
