The 40th edition of the annual Vuelta a Venezuela was held from September 8 to September 21, 2003. The stage race started in Tucupita, and ended in San Felipe, Yaracuy. Luis Díaz (cyclist)
Luis Hernán Díaz Villegas (4 November 1945 – 24 November 2021) was a Colombian cyclist. He reached the quarterfinal in the individual pursuit event at the 1972 Summer Olympics. Díaz was born in Buga, Valle del Cauca on 4 November 1945. He died from cancer on 24 November 2021, at the age of 76. Individual Time Trial
An individual time trial (ITT) is a road bicycle race in which cyclists race alone against the clock (in French: ''contre la montre'' – literally "against the watch", in Italian: ''tappa a cronometro'' "stopwatch stage"). There are also track-based time trials where riders compete in velodromes, and team time trials (TTT). ITTs are also referred to as "the race of truth", as winning depends only on each rider's strength and endurance, and not on help provided by teammates and others riding ahead and creating a slipstream. Individual time trial are usually held on flat or rolling terrain, although sometimes they are held up a mountain road (in Italian: ''cronoscalata'' "chrono climbing"). Valle de la Pascua is the capital city of the autonomous municipality of Leonardo Infante, Guárico, Venezuela . The city is located in the central plains of Venezuela and was founded on February 25, 1785, by Father Mariano Martí.
