Trophée Des Champions
The Trophée des Champions (, ) is a French association football trophy contested in an annual match between the champions of Ligue 1 and the winners of the Coupe de France. It is equivalent to the super cups found in many other countries. History The match, with its current name, was first played in 1995, but the format in French football has existed since 1949 when the 1948–49 first division champions, Stade de Reims, defeated the winners of the 1948–49 edition of the Coupe de France, RCF Paris, 4–3 at the Stade Olympique Yves-du-Manoir in Colombes. The match is co-organized by the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) and the Union Syndicale des Journalistes Sportifs de France (UJSF). From 1955 to 1973, the French Football Federation (FFF) hosted a similar match known as the ''Challenge des champions''. José Edmílson Gomes de Moraes (born 10 July 1976), known simply as Edmílson, is a Brazilian football executive and former professional footballer. He's currently a technical consultant for São Caetano. Either a defensive midfielder or a central defender, he played in three countries in his professional career, representing with team and individual success São Paulo, Lyon and Barcelona (four seasons each in the last two clubs). Having won 39 caps with Brazil, Edmílson represented the nation at the 2002 World Cup, helping it win the tournament. Paul Joseph Marie Le Guen (, ; born 1 March 1964) is a French professional football manager and former player. He was most recently the manager of Ligue 2 club Le Havre. During his playing career, Le Guen played as a midfielder, and enjoyed a successful stay with Paris Saint-Germain between 1991 and 1998, and won 17 caps for the France national team. As a manager, his most notable achievement has been winning the Ligue 1 title in each of his three seasons in charge of Lyon between 2002 and 2005. Club career Le Guen was born in Pencran, Finistère. Bryan Bergougnoux (; born 12 January 1983) is a French professional football manager and former player who is the head coach of Championnat National 2 club Thonon Evian. As a player, he was a midfielder. Club career Born in Lyon, Bergougnoux began his career at his hometown club Lyon, where he was formed since a young age. His debut for the club came in a 2–0 defeat to Lens on 28 July 2001. After 36 games for Lyon, in which he scored four goals, he was sold to Toulouse in 2005 for €3.5 million, on a four-year deal. Vikash Rao Dhorasoo (born 10 October 1973) is a French former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Dhorasoo spent most of his career with Lyon, winning Ligue 1 twice in 2003 and 2004, and also had a loan at Bordeaux and a spell at Paris Saint-Germain, who dismissed him in October 2006. Abroad, he had one year at Italy's AC Milan where he reached the 2005 UEFA Champions League Final, and a spell at Livorno where he did not play. Eric Gérard Carrière (born 24 May 1973) is a French former professional footballer who played as a midfielder for Nantes, Lyon, Lens, and Dijon. Club career Carrière started his professional career at FC Nantes with whom he won his first Ligue 1 title in 2001. In 2001, he moved to Olympique Lyonnais where he won three more Ligue 1 titles in 2002, 2003 and 2004. In 2004 he signed with RC Lens. Rémy René Paul Vercoutre (born 26 June 1980) is a French former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He's currently the goalkeeping coach of Olympique Lyonnais. Career Vercoutre was born in Grande-Synthe, Nord. He previously played for Montpellier, before moving to Lyon in 2002. In 2004, he joined Strasbourg on loan, but only managed to play eight games for them before returning to Lyon. He did however play as they won the 2005 Coupe de la Ligue Final. Antônio Augusto Ribeiro Reis Júnior (born 30 January 1975), commonly known as Juninho Pernambucano or simply Juninho, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who was most recently the sporting director of French club Olympique Lyonnais.
