The 2002 U.S. Women's Open was the 57th U.S. Women's Open, held July 4–7 in Kansas at Prairie Dunes Country Club, northeast of Hutchinson, about forty miles (65 km) northwest of Wichita. Juli Inkster won her second U.S. Women's Open, two strokes ahead of runner-up Annika Sörenstam, the 54-hole leader. Inkster, 42, shot a final round 66 (−4) to gain her seventh and final major title. Kim Saiki
Kim Saiki-Maloney (born January 24, 1966) is a Japanese-American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour from 1992 to 2007. Saiki was born in Inglewood, California. She won the 1983 U.S. Girls' Junior. She was a college All-America at the University of Southern California in 1986 and graduated in 1988 with a degree in Public Administration. Lynnette Brooky
Lynnette Teresa Brooky (born 25 January 1968) is a New Zealand professional golfer. She turned professional in 1994 and has spent her career playing mainly on the Ladies European Tour (LET). She has won four LET tournaments including back to back French Opens, one Telia Tour event in Sweden and a further four in Australia. Her best finish on the LET Order of Merit through 2005 was fifth in 2003. She represented New Zealand in the 2005 and 2007 Women's World Cup of Golf. Charlotta Petra Sörenstam (born 16 April 1973) is a retired Swedish professional golfer. As an amateur competing for the Texas Longhorns, she won the NCAA Division I Championship individual title. Jill McGill
Jill McGill (born January 30, 1972) is an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour. McGill was born in Denver, Colorado. She played college golf at the University of Southern California and won the U.S. Women's Amateur title in 1993 and the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links in 1994. She played on the 1994 Curtis Cup team. She turned professional in December 1994. Michele Redman
Michele Redman (born April 15, 1965) is an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour from 1992 through 2011. She is currently the women's golf coach at the University of Minnesota. Redman was born in Zanesville, Ohio. She attended Zanesville High School, where she played on the varsity boys' golf team. She attended Indiana University, where she won four events, was named All-American twice and All-Big Ten four times. She was the Big Ten Conference champion in 1987. Sherri Steinhauer (born December 27, 1962) is an American professional golfer who plays on the Legends Tour. She retired from the LPGA Tour in 2012 after a 26-year career. She was born in Madison, Wisconsin and attended The University of Texas at Austin. Her rookie season on the LPGA Tour was 1986. Mhairi McKay (born 18 April 1975) is a Scottish professional golfer who played mainly on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour and was also a member of the Ladies European Tour. Kelli Kuehne Doremus (born May 11, 1977) is a retired American professional golfer. Amateur career Kuehne was born in Dallas, Texas. She was the Texas UIL 4A Girls Individual State Champion four years in a row, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995 while attending Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas.
