2002 IAAF World Cross Country Championships – Women's Short Race
The Women's short race at the 2002 IAAF World Cross Country Championships was held at the Leopardstown Racecourse near Dublin, Ireland, on March 24, 2002. Reports of the event were given in ''The New York Times'', in the Herald, and for the IAAF. Complete results for individuals, for teams, medallists, and the results of British athletes who took part were published. Priscah Jepleting Cherono, née Ngetich (born 27 June 1980) is a Kenyan professional runner who specialises in the 5000 metres and cross-country running. She represented Kenya in the 5000 m at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She is the Kenyan record holder over the two miles distance. Jane Jepkosgei Kiptoo (born 8 August 1982) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who mainly competes in road running events, up to the marathon distance.
