The 2002 European Figure Skating Championships was a senior international figure skating competition in the 2001–02 season. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The 2002 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships was an international figure skating competition in the 2001–02 season. It was held at the Hwasan Indoor Ice Rink in Jeonju, South Korea on January 21–27. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Tomáš Verner (; born 3 June 1986) is a former Czech figure skater. He is the 2008 European champion, a medalist at two other European Championships (2007 silver, 2011 bronze), and a ten-time (2002–2004, 2006–2008, 2011–2014) Czech national champion. Kevin van der Perren (born 6 August 1982) is a Belgian former competitive figure skater. He is the 2007 & 2009 European bronze medalist, a three-time Grand Prix medalist, and an eight-time (2000–2004, 2007, 2011, 2012) Belgian national champion. Stefan Lindemann (born 30 September 1980) is a German retired figure skater. He is the 2004 World bronze medalist, 2005 European bronze medalist, 2000 World Junior champion, and a seven-time (2000, 2002, 2004–2007, 2010) German national champion. Career Stefan Lindeman started skating at age 4 in Erfurt at the local skating club. At age 12 he wanted to play ice hockey, but his mother kept him in figure skating. His coach was Ilona Schindler. Gabriel Monnier (born 10 May 1977) is a French former competitive figure skater. He is the 2002 French national champion and won four senior international medals. Sergei Dmitriyevich Davydov (russian: Серге́й Дмитриевич Давыдов, born 2 March 1979 in Rostov-on-Don) is a former competitive figure skater who represented Belarus and Russia. For Belarus, he is the 2006 Cup of China silver medalist, two-time Nebelhorn Trophy champion, and eight-time (2001–2008) Belarusian national champion. Andrejs Vlaščenko (russian: Андрей Влащенко; born 15 June 1974) is a figure skater who represented Latvia (1992–94) and Germany (1994–04). Competing for Germany, he won two Grand Prix medals – bronze at both the 2001 Trophee Lalique and at the 1998 Sparkassen Cup on Ice – and became a four-time German national champion. He is a three-time Grand Prix medalist, an 11-time Bulgarian national champion, and competed at three Olympics. Frédéric Dambier
Frédéric Dambier (born 26 December 1977) is a French figure skater. He is a four-time French national silver medalist and competed at two Olympic Games. He twice placed fourth at the European Figure Skating Championships. He is the first French skater to land a quadruple salchow in competition. Career Dambier started skating when he was about six or seven years old when a neighbor took him to the small ice rink of Joué les Tours. In practice, he landed his first triple jump, the salchow, at 14, and his first quad salchow when he was 19. He became the first French skater to perform the quad salchow in competition when he landed it at the 1999 Ondrej Nepela Memorial.
