The 2002 British Formula Three season was the 52nd British Formula Three Championship season. It commenced on 31 March and ended on 22 September, after twenty-six races. British Formula 3 International Series
The British Formula Three Championship was an international motor racing series that took place primarily in the United Kingdom with a small number of events in mainland Europe. It was a junior-level feeder formula that used small single seater Formula Three chassis. Its final official title was the Cooper Tires British Formula 3 International Series. Robbie Kerr
Robert "Robbie" Kerr (born 26 September 1979 in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire) is a British racing driver. In 2002, Kerr won the British Formula 3 championship. Career Early career In 2002 he became the British Formula Three Champion for Alan Docking Racing with 306 points ahead of Australian racing driver James Courtney. Following an abortive attempt at International Formula 3000 in 2003, Kerr did not race again until 2004 when he raced in the Formula Renault V6 Eurocup. At the opening round at Monza Kerr had earned pole position but mechanical problems forced him out. He eventually won a race at the last race of the season in Valencia. He had not led the race until he took the lead on the last lap. Kerr has also raced in the Le Mans Endurance Series. Performance Racing is a Swedish racing team based in Great Britain, involved in many areas of motorsport. The team has been managed since 1999 by Bobby Issazadhe. History The Performance Racing business was founded in Sweden, in 1999, to concentrate various motorsport activities into one source. The business was bought by Issazadhe in 2000 to manage his own racing team. In the beginning, in 1999 and 2000, the team ran in Europa Cup Formula Opel. Muhammad Fairuz bin Mohd Fauzy (born 24 October 1982 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) is a Malaysian professional race car driver. Early career Fairuz started competing in karting events in 1994 before making the move to British Formula Ford at the start of 1999. He moved to British Formula Renault in 2000, developing his skills there before moving up to British Formula 3 in 2002, albeit in the B-Class. Stefan Hodgetts (born 17 June 1982 in Bromsgrove) is a British auto racing driver, best known for driving a part season in the British Touring Car Championship. Bruce Jouanny (born 11 June 1978 in Paris, France) is a French racing driver. He started his career in his homeland of France, before moving on to international series. In 2000, he won his only career title to date – the Formula Palmer Audi Junior series.
