Ryan Bayley
Ryan Neville Bayley OAM (born 9 March 1982) is an Australian professional track cyclist and double Olympic gold medallist. Biography Born in Perth, Western Australia, Bayley started competitive cycling in 1997 at fifteen years of age. He is a member of the Albany Cycling Club and employed by the Australian Institute of Sport. Bayley won gold medals for the Sprint and Team Sprint track cycling events at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. His greatest success as a track cyclist came in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, where he won gold medals in the sprint and Keirin events. Following Bayley's failure to win a medal at the World Cup round in Sydney in December 2007, he was criticized by Martin Barras, the national coach, for not developing his tactics. Jobie Dajka
Jobie Lee Dajka (11 December 1981 – 4 April 2009) was an Australian professional track cyclist from Adelaide, South Australia. Biography Dajka received an AIS Junior Athlete of the Year award in 1999, and an Achievement Award in 2002 and 2003. He missed selection for the 2000 Olympic Games, but competed in the 2002 UCI Track Cycling World Championships, winning the Keirin. Dajka was sent home from the 2004 pre-Olympic training camp, accused of having lied to the enquiries into the Mark French doping affair. His appeal at his expulsion and later suspension was unsuccessful. After this, he became disillusioned and became a very heavy drinker, and gained a lot of weight. Following a tribunal on 15 June 2005, he received a three-year ban following an assault on Martin Barras, the Australian national track coach. Sebastian Siedler
Sebastian Siedler (born 18 January 1978 in Leipzig) is a former racing cyclist from Germany, who last rode for UCI Continental team . He had a successful track career prior to turning to road bicycle racing, winning Team Pursuit at the 2000 UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Manchester. He turned professional in 2004 with Team Wiesenhof, and spent two seasons there before moving to Team Milram for two seasons. Siedler joined at the start of the 2009 season. Bryan Steel
Bryan Steel (born 5 January 1969) is an English former professional racing cyclist. Cycling career Steel represented Great Britain at the 1992, 1996, 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics. He represented England in the individual pursuit and won a bronze medal in the 4,000 metres team pursuit, at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand. Four years later at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, he won a silver medal in the team pursuit and competed in the individual pursuit. Eight years later he won a third Commonwealth Games medal when winning a silver medal in the team pursuit at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. Paul Christian Manning, (born 6 November 1974, Sutton Coldfield) is a former English professional track and road bicycle racer who rode for the UCI Professional Continental team Landbouwkrediet-Tönissteiner in 2007 and 2008. He is strong in the Individual and Team Pursuit disciplines on track and has won many medals for Britain in the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Track World Championships and Track World Cups. Christopher Malcolm Newton (born 29 September 1973, Middlesbrough, England) is a road and track racing cyclist. Newton is a multiple world champion and triple Olympic medalist. Biography Newton went to Linthorpe Juniors and Boynton Comprehensive in Teesside, and, aged 13, started cycling with Teesside Clarion. He is an alumnus of the University of Teesside in Middlesbrough. Newton first competed in the Commonwealth Games in 1994, winning the silver medal in the Team Pursuit with Tony Doyle, Rob Hayles and Bryan Steel.
