Amélie Mauresmo
Amélie Simone Mauresmo (; born 5 July 1979) is a French former List of WTA number 1 ranked singles tennis players, world No. 1 tennis player and tournament director. Mauresmo won two Grand Slam (tennis)#Tournaments, major singles titles at the 2006 Australian Open – Women's singles, 2006 Australian Open and 2006 Wimbledon Championships – Women's singles, Wimbledon Championships, and also won the silver medal in singles at the Tennis at the 2004 Summer Olympics – Women's singles, 2004 Summer Olympics and the singles title at the 2005 WTA Tour Championships – Singles, 2005 year-end championships. Mauresmo first attained the top ranking on 13 September 2004, holding it for five weeks on that occasion. She was known for her powerful one-handed backhand and strong net play. Chanda Rubin
Chanda Rubin (born February 18, 1976) is an American former top-10 professional tennis player. During her career, she reached the semifinals at the 1996 Australian Open, the quarterfinals of the French Open three times, and had wins over world-number-ones Serena Williams and Martina Hingis. In doubles, she won the 1996 Australian Open with Arantxa Sánchez Vicario and was runner-up at the 1999 US Open with Sandrine Testud. Early life and family Rubin was born to Edward D. Ľudmila Cervanová (; born 15 October 1979 in PieÅ¡Å¥any, Czechoslovakia) is a retired tennis player from Slovakia. Gloria Pizzichini (born 24 July 1975) is an Italian former tennis player. On 18 November 1996, she reached her career-high singles ranking of world No. 45. In the same year, she won her only WTA Tour title. In the 1996 "M" Electronika Cup final, she defeated domestic player Silvija Talaja 6–2, 6–0 to collect the trophy. Anne Kremer
Anne Kremer (born 17 October 1975) is a Luxembourgish retired tennis player. Anne won two singles titles on the WTA Tour. On 29 July 2002, she achieved her best WTA ranking of world No. 18. Anne completed her schooling at the Athénée de Luxembourg and subsequently studied English and history at Stanford University in California. Kremer is a member of the Democratic and Liberal Youth in Luxembourg, and has entered politics. She ran for the Democratic Party in the 2009 election to the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg. Nathalie Dechy (born 21 February 1979) is a former professional tennis player from France. Virginia Ruano Pascual (; born 21 September 1973) is a Spanish former professional tennis player. She had moderate success in singles, winning three career Women's Tennis Association (WTA) titles as well as reaching two Grand Slam quarterfinals and a top-30 ranking, but she had been far more successful in doubles. She won 43 career WTA doubles titles, including eleven at Grand Slam tournaments: ten in women's doubles (eight partnering Paola Suárez, and two partnering Anabel Medina Garrigues) and one in mixed doubles (partnering Tomás Carbonell). Barbara Schett Eagle (; born 10 March 1976) is an Austrian former professional tennis player, who reached her highest singles ranking of world No. 7 in September 1999. Between 1993 and 2004 she played in 48 matches for the Austria Fed Cup team, winning 30.
