The 2001 Arab Super Cup was an international club competition played by the winners and runners up of the Arab Champions League, Arab Club Champions Cup and Arab Cup Winners' Cup. It was the eight and last edition and was won by Al-Hilal_FC, Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia. The Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA; ar, الاتحاد العربي لكرة القدم; french: Union des associations de football arabe) is the governing body of football in the Arab League. Established in 1974, UAFA has 22 member associations. The UAFA is an association not recognised by FIFA. History The Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) was established in 1974 in Tripoli, Libya. In 1976, a general assembly was held in Damascus, Syria, and the football association headquarters were transferred to their present seat in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
