The 2001 Arab Super Cup was an international club competition played by the winners and runners up of the Arab Champions League, Arab Club Champions Cup and Arab Cup Winners' Cup. Al Nassr Football Club ( ar, نادي النصر السعودي; ''An-Nasr, Naṣr'' meaning ''Victory'') is a Saudi Arabian Association football, football club based in Riyadh. Fahad Al Mehalel ( ar, فهد المهلل, born November 11, 1970) is a retired Saudi Arabian football striker. He played at a club level for Al-Shabab and Al-Nassr. Mohammad Al-Shalhoub
Mohammad Bandar Al-Shalhoub ( ar, محمد بندر الشلهوب; born 8 December 1980) is a former Saudi Arabian footballer who played as an attacking midfielder for Al Hilal in the Saudi Professional League. A legend of Saudi football, he won 33 trophies with Al Hilal and one title with the Saudi Arabia national team, making him one of the most decorated footballers of all time. On 30 November 2006, Al-Shalhoub came third in the Asian Footballer of the Year award, after eventual winner Khalfan Ibrahim from Qatar and Bader Al-Mutawa from Kuwait. Sami Abdullah Al-Jaber ( ar, سامي الجابر; born 11 December 1972) is a Saudi Arabian football manager and former professional player who played as a striker. He spent the entirety of his career with Al-Hilal apart from a five-month loan to English club Wolverhampton Wanderers. Al-Jaber is his country's second highest international goalscorer with 46 goals in 156 internationals from 1992 to 2006. He appeared in four consecutive FIFA World Cup tournaments, from 1994 to 2006, scoring in three of them. He was also a member of the Saudi squads which won the AFC Asian Cup in 1996. The Mahdi ( ar, ٱلْمَهْدِيّ, al-Mahdī, lit=the Guided) is a messianic figure in Islamic eschatology who is believed to appear at the end of times to rid the world of evil and injustice. Abdulrahman Al-Bishi ( ar, عبدالرحمن البيشي) (born 1 July 1982) is a Saudi Arabian footballer. With Al-Nasr Al-Bishi joined the Al-Nassr club in 1996 through Mr. Abdulla Al-Howaishel. After 15 days of joining, he was recalled by the Al-Nasr's Under 17 squad's trainer Yousef Khamis. At the beginning, Al-Bishi played as a midfielder; however, Khamis decided that Al-Bishi would be better suited in a forward position.
