2000 World Junior Figure Skating Championships
The 2000 World Junior Figure Skating Championships was held from March 5 to 12 in Oberstdorf, Germany. Medals were awarded in men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Due to the large number of participants, the men's and ladies' qualifying groups were split into groups A and B. Oberstdorf
Oberstdorf ( Low Alemannic: ''Oberschdorf'') is a municipality and skiing and hiking town in Germany, located in the Allgäu region of the Bavarian Alps. It is the southernmost settlement in Germany and one of its highest towns. At the center of Oberstdorf is a church whose tall spire serves as a landmark for navigating around town. The summits of the Nebelhorn and Fellhorn provide dramatic panoramic views of the alps. The Nebelhorn can be reached with a big cable car. Ryan Bradley
Ryan Scott Bradley (born November 17, 1983) is an American former competitive figure skater. He is the 2008 Skate Canada International silver medalist, the 2009 Skate America bronze medalist, the 2011 U.S. national champion, and a three-time U.S. Collegiate champion. Personal life Bradley was born in Saint Joseph, Missouri, and comes from a family of skaters. His sister, Becky, is a skating coach and former competitive skater, and his mother is a USFSA judge. Bradley studied business at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He is a volunteer at the Broadmoor Skating Club and a coach at the Colorado Springs World Arena. Career Ryan Bradley began skating at the age of two and participated in the U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills program from 1986-1988. Brian Joubert (; born 20 September 1984) is a French figure skating coach and former competitor. He is the 2007 World champion, a three-time (2004, 2007 & 2009) European champion, and the 2006–07 Grand Prix Final champion. Cyril Brun (born 22 August 1981) is a French former competitive figure skater. He won two medals on the 1999–2000 ISU Junior Grand Prix series and qualified for the JGP Final, where he placed 8th. Kensuke Nakaniwa
is a Japanese former competitive figure skater. He is a two-time Ondrej Nepela Memorial champion, the 2003 Winter Universiade bronze medalist, and a three-time Japan national medalist. He finished in the top ten at three Four Continents Championships. Personal life Kensuke Nakaniwa was born on October 15, 1981 in Fukuoka, Japan. Career In the 1999–2000 season, Nakaniwa won a bronze medal on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series and placed 13th at the 2000 World Junior Championships. In the 2002–03 season, Nakaniwa made his Grand Prix debut and competed at his first senior ISU Championship, the 2003 Four Continents, where he finished 11th. Stéphane Lambiel (born 2 April 1985) is a Swiss former competitive figure skater who now works as a coach and choreographer. He is a two-time (2005–2006) World champion, the 2006 Olympic silver medalist, a two-time (2005, 2007) Grand Prix Final champion, and a nine-time (2001–08, 2010) Swiss national champion. Andriy Kyforenko
Andriy Kyforenko ( uk, Андрій Кифоренко or Andrei Kiforenko from russian: Андрей Кифоренко, born 7 September 1980) is a Ukrainian former competitive figure skater. He won gold at the 1998 ISU Junior Grand Prix in Ukraine and competed at two World Junior Championships, finishing in the top ten in 2000.
