Marc Rosset
Marc Rosset (born 7 November 1970) is a Swiss former professional tennis player. He is best known for winning the men's singles gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics. He also won a major doubles title, at the French Open in 1992 partnering compatriot Jakob Hlasek. Career Rosset turned professional in 1988 and won his first tour singles title in 1989 in Geneva as a wildcard, defeating Guillermo Pérez Roldán. His first doubles title was won in Geneva as well in 1991 with partner Sergi Bruguera. 1992 was the pinnacle of Rosset's career. Representing Switzerland at the Olympic Games in Barcelona, he defeated several top players en route to qualifying for the men's singles final, including Jim Courier, Goran Ivanišević, Wayne Ferreira, and Emilio Sánchez. Simon Aspelin
Simon Aspelin (; born 11 May 1974) is a former professional tennis doubles player from Sweden who turned professional in 1998. His success mainly came in doubles, winning 12 titles and reaching World No. 7 in March 2008. In men's doubles, Aspelin won the 2007 US Open and the Silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. A memorable part of Aspelin's career was when he and doubles partner Todd Perry were playing in the 2006 Wimbledon Championships men's doubles quarterfinals as the eighth-seeded doubles team against third-seeded Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor. Knowles and Nestor won the match by winning the final set 23–21. At the 2007 U.S. Open, seeded tenth with his partner Julian Knowle, Aspelin achieved the greatest triumph of his career by winning the U.S. Open, his first Grand Slam. Johan Landsberg
Johan Landsberg (born 30 December 1974) is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. Career Landsberg, a doubles specialist, competed in 21 Grand Slam men's doubles tournaments over the course of his career. He also played mixed doubles in five of those events, the 2000 French Open and every Wimbledon Championship from 2000 to 2003. His best result in the mixed was making the quarter-finals of the 2002 Wimbledon Championships, partnering countrywoman Åsa Svensson. In the men's doubles he twice reached the third round, the first time being his Grand Slam debut, at the 2000 Australian Open. The Open 13 is an annual men's tennis tournament played in Marseille, France. The tournament is an ATP World Tour 250 series event on the Association of Tennis Professionals tour. It is held for one week in February. The number 13 is the INSEE code of the Bouches-du-Rhône ''département'' of which Marseille is the capital. The tournament is played on indoor hard courts at the Palais des sports de Marseille. The Centre Court has a capacity of 5,800 seats. History The event was first held in 1993. It was the project of ex-professional tennis player and native of Marseille Jean-François Caujolle, who remains tournament director to this day. The Swiss player Marc Rosset won the singles title at the first two editions of the event in 1993 and 1994. He also won it for a 3rd time in 2000. Juan Ignacio Carrasco (born 9 July 1974) is a former professional tennis player from Spain. Career Carrasco, a doubles specialist, appeared in 17 Grand Slams during his career. He competed in the men's doubles on each occasion and also played mixed doubles once, at the 2000 Wimbledon Championships with Gisela Riera as his partner. Jairo Velasco Jr. (born 21 January 1974) is a former Spanish professional tennis player. His father, Jairo Velasco Sr., was a Colombian tennis player, who emigrated to Spain. Career Velasco was a doubles specialist, usually teaming up with countryman Juan Ignacio Carrasco. The pair appeared together in the main draw of six Grand Slams, but only once made it past the opening round. That was at the 2000 French Open, where they upset ninth seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and David Prinosil to make the third round.
