Adidas Cup
The Adidas Cup was an annual Association football, football competition in Football in South Korea, South Korean football and the Korean League Cup held by the K League Federation from 1992 to 2002. Format The Adidas Cup is classified as a cup competition, but its format was similar to typical league until 1997. In 1998, 2001, and 2002, the participating clubs were divided into two groups, and the top two clubs of each group advanced to the Single-elimination tournament, knockout stage. In 1999 and 2000, it was held as a knockout tournament. Ko Jong-soo ( born October 30, 1978) is a South Korean football coach and former football player. Growth Background Born in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do, he graduated from Yeosu West Elementary School, Yeosu Gubong Middle School, and Kumho High School. Career He rose to stardom during the 1998 World Cup, along with Lee Dong-Gook, and Ahn Jung-Hwan. Denis Vladimirovich Laktionov (russian: Денис Владимирович Лактионов; born 4 September 1977) is a Russian football coach and a former player. He is the caretaker manager of Cypriot club Akritas Chlorakas. He became a naturalized South Korean citizen in 2003, and was known as Lee Seong-nam while playing for Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma. Club career In December 2007 he returned to Russia and signed a two-year contract with Sibir Novosibirsk in the Russian First Division. Park Kun-ha (born 25 July 1971 in Daejeon, South Korea) is a retired South Korean footballer. Career He started his professional career in 1996 as the founding member of Suwon Samsung Bluewings. At first, he played as a striker and scored many goals and help the Bluewings to win the championship in 1998 and 1999 and Asian Champions Cup and Asian Super Cup in 2001 and 2002, respectively. Dongdaemun Stadium
Dongdaemun Stadium was a sports complex in Seoul, South Korea and included a multi-purpose stadium, a baseball park and other sports facilities. It was located near Dongdaemun or Great East Gate. The surrounding Dongdaemun market had many vendors selling athletics-related goods. It was demolished in 2008 to make way for the Dongdaemun Design Plaza & Park.
