2000 K League Championship
The 2000 K League Championship was the seventh competition of the K League Championship, and was held to decide the 18th champions of the K League. It was contested between the top four clubs of the 2000 K League#Regular season, regular season. The first round was played as a single match between third place and fourth place of the regular season. The winners of the first round advanced to the semi-final, and played against runners-up of the regular season over two legs. FC Seoul ( ko, FC 서울) is a South Korean professional football club based in Seoul that competes in the K League 1, the top flight of South Korean football. The club is owned by GS Sports, a subsidiary of GS Group. They play their home games at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. The club was officially founded as Lucky-Goldstar Football Club in 1983, by the Lucky-Goldstar Group, and was later renamed as LG Cheetahs in 1990. Due to the K League decentralization policy in 1996, the club was relocated to the Seoul's satellite city of Anyang for eight years, before returning to Seoul in 2004. Jeju United Football Club (Hangul: 제주 유나이티드) is a South Korean professional football club based in Jeju Province that competes in the K League 1, the top division in South Korea. In the past, the club has been known as the ''Yukong Elephants'' and ''Bucheon SK''. History An original member of the K League founded on 17 December 1982, the team was then called the Yukong Elephants. The Mokdong Stadium () is a South Korean sports complex located in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul. It consists of a multi-purpose stadium, a baseball stadium, and an artificial ice rink. It was opened on 14 November 1989. The main stadium hosted K League football matches from 1996 to 2001. Seongnam Sports Complex ( ko, 성남종합운동장) is a group of sports facilities in Seongnam, South Korea. The complex consists of the Seongnam Stadium, Field hockey field, and Indoor Arena. Jeonju () is the 16th largest city in South Korea and the capital of North Jeolla Province.
