2nd Best To None
"2nd Best to None" is a song written by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus - former members of pop group ABBA. The song is performed by the staff of Andersson's Stockholm hotel, Rival, going under the name The Rivals. Originally, the song was intended to be a jingle for the hotel's website, but has since become full-length with a promotional video featuring the staff. Commenting on the song, Andersson stated that he came up with the idea at the hotel's fifth anniversary in September 2008 and was aware that a number of the staff were amateur singers and was satisfied that they could record a song together. He then asked Ulvaeus to come up with some lyrics. The song was released as a single on 6 May 2009. It came just as Andersson released an international album, ''Story of a Heart (album), Story of a Heart'', with the title track as the lead single. Göran Bror Benny Andersson (; born 16 December 1946) is a Swedish musician, singer, composer and producer best known as a member of the musical group ABBA and co-composer of the musicals ''Chess'', '' Kristina från Duvemåla'', and '' Mamma Mia!'' For the 2008 film version of ''Mamma Mia!'' and its 2018 sequel, ''Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again'', he worked also as an executive producer. Since 2001, he has been active with his own band Benny Anderssons orkester. Early life Göran Bror Benny Andersson was born 16 December 1946 in the Vasastan district of Stockholm to civil engineer Gösta Andersson (1912–1973) and his wife Laila (1920–1971). Björn Kristian Ulvaeus (; born 25 April 1945) is a Swedish singer, songwriter, producer, a member of the musical group ABBA, and co-composer of the musicals ''Chess'', '' Kristina från Duvemåla'', and '' Mamma Mia!'' He co-produced the films '' Mamma Mia!'' and ''Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again'' with fellow ABBA member and close friend Benny Andersson. He is the oldest member of the group. ''Story of a Heart'' is a compilation album by Swedish group Benny Andersson Band, released in July 2009. Album Information Benny Anderssons Orkester is the current band of former ABBA member Benny Andersson. As ''"Story of a Heart"'' was the group's first album to be released outside of Sweden, the band is referred to as "Benny Andersson Band". International release English lyrics were written by Björn Ulvaeus (also of ABBA fame) for four of the most successful songs of the band's back catalogue.
