2nd Annual Interactive Achievement Awards
The ''2nd Annual Interactive Achievement Awards'' is the 2nd edition of the Interactive Achievement Awards, an annual awards event that honors the best games in the video game industry. The awards are arranged by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS), and were held at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. There was not an official host of the award ceremony, but featured a wide variety of presenters. '' The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time'' and ''Half-Life'' were tied with the most nominations. ''The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time'' also won the most awards including Game of the Year. Electronic Arts received the most nominations while Nintendo won the most awards both as a developer and a publisher. Hard Rock Hotel And Casino (Las Vegas)
The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino was a resort located near the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It now operates as Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. The resort is located on on the corner of Harmon Avenue and Paradise Road, about a mile east of the Las Vegas Strip. At the time of its closure, the Hard Rock included 1,506 rooms across several hotel towers, a casino, and a music venue known as The Joint. It had also hosted a weekly pool party event known as Rehab. Plans for a Hard Rock hotel were announced in 1991, and the resort opened on March 10, 1995, as the world's first rock and roll-themed hotel. ''Motocross Madness'' is a motocross racing video game developed by Rainbow Studios and published by Microsoft. A sequel, ''Motocross Madness 2'', was released in 2000. In 2013, a sequel for Xbox 360 was released, titled '' Motocross Madness''. In the game, one can earn money by utilizing "career mode", but play for fun in Baja, Stunts, Enduro, Supercross, and National levels as well. Gameplay The game is known for its realism, including terrain, audio, and "bone-chilling" motorcycle wrecks. If the player is in Stunt mode and goes out of bounds after climbing a large cliff, an "invisible slingshot" will cause the player and the bike fly across the map while a funny sound plays until both objects hit the ground.
