''2'' is a compilation album of songs by the Spanish band Dover, released in 2007. It is a double CD greatest hits compilation from the band including singles "Serenade", " Devil Came to Me" and "Loli Jackson" and featuring many singles and favourites from their past albums. The CD also includes a new single, "Soldier", and pop versions of five of their greatest hits and successes from their previous album ''Follow the City Lights''. Dover (band)
Dover was a Spanish rock band founded in Madrid in 1992. The group was composed of the sisters and group leaders Cristina Llanos (vocals) and Amparo Llanos (lead guitarist), drummer Jesús Antúnez and bassist Samuel Titos. They recorded eight albums, selling around two million copies. They are known for their second album '' Devil Came to Me'', which led them to international fame. In 2006, their sixth album, ''Follow the City Lights'' caused controversy as the style of the group changed from alternative rock to electronic pop. The band won, among other things, the revelation group awards at the 1997 Premios Ondas and the award for best Spanish artist at the 2000 MTV Europe Music Awards. The band was disbanded in 2016 by Amparo Llanos, who has since begun another project without her sister. Follow The City Lights
''Follow the City Lights'' is the sixth album by Spanish rock band Dover. In contrast to previous releases, the album has an electronic character. Cristina Llanos, Amparo Llanos and programmer and drummer Jesús Antúnez were joined by Samuel Titos, a newly signed bassist for the band. Daniel Alcover, with whom they had already worked with on '' Devil Came to Me'', mastered the album and later won a Music Prize for Best Sound Technician for the album. The music style shift led to the resignation of some fans. The album reached No. 1 in Spanish sales for several weeks and their first single "Let Me Out" reached the top of the charts. The album won the Best Alternative Album award at the Music Awards 2006. It was followed by the singles "Do Ya" and "Keep On Moving". I Ka Kené
I Ka Kené is the seventh album by the Madrid-based group, Dover (band), Dover, released on 4 October 2010. The title means "Are you fine?" in the Bambara language, Bambara language. The songs were composed between March 2009 and May 2010. The album itself was recorded and produced by Dover in Reno Studios in Madrid between June 7 and July 9, 2010. Five of the songs have been mixed by Chris Lord-Alge (who has worked with blink-182, Paramore and Simple Plan, among others) in Los Angeles, the rest having been mixed by Jesús Antúnez. The album was mastered by Ted Jensen. Dannayá, the first single, was pre-released onto iTunes on July 31. The 10 songs on the album are sung in a mixture of English, French and Bambara language, Bambara, all together lasting just over 30 minutes in length. Amparo Llanos Fayos (born 27 May 1965) is a Spanish musician, guitarist and songwriter. She was the leader, along with her sister Cristina, of the Spanish rock band Dover. Biography Before the foundation of the band, she worked in the shop of her mother in Majadahonda. She took a course in history and three of Journalism, but according to her, "I left it because I was too timid". Her influences are The Beatles, R.E.M and Nirvana.
