2LF is an Australian radio station serving the Young region and is part of the Super Radio Network with its sister station Roccy FM. It was opened in February 1938. The LF stands for Lambing Flats and the station broadcasts on the AM dial on 1350 kilohertz and a power of 5 kilowatts - more than double the power of neighbouring radio stations 2WG Wagga Wagga, 2GN Goulburn and 2PK Parkes, all of which are rated at 2 kW. This may be due to the varying heights of the towns of Young, Cowra and Cootamundra - 2LF's core audience. Roccy FM (ACMA callsign: 2LFF) is an Australian radio station that transmits on 93.9 MHz FM from Young, New South Wales, Australia and serves the towns in the South West Slopes region such as Cowra and Cootamundra. History Roccy FM was first broadcast as FM93.9 as supplementary FM radio station to sister station 2LF, before rebranding as Star FM. This lasted until mid-2008, when owners Macquarie Media Group purchased stations from Southern Cross Broadcasting, and was made to sell both Star FM and 2LF. Cowra is a small town in the Central West region of New South Wales, Australia. It is the largest population centre and the council seat for the Cowra Shire, with a population of 9,863. Cowra is located approximately above sea level, on the banks of the Lachlan River, in the Lachlan Valley. Ken Sutcliffe
Ken Sutcliffe (born 15 November 1947) is an Australian sporting journalist and radio and television personality. Career Sutcliffe was born in Oberon, New South Wales and grew up in Mudgee. He started his radio career in 1966 in Mudgee, followed by a stint as a general announcer at 2LF Young, and began work on television as a newsreader on local station CBN-8 Orange. He joined TNQ-7 in Townsville during the mid-1970s, before joining TCN-9 in 1979, appearing on '' World of Sport'' with Ron Casey. He made his television debut in 1982, hosting ''Bedtime stories with Ken and Daz'' alongside Darrell Eastlake. The show only lasted 8 episodes. Ray Warren
Raymond Warren OAM (born 11 June 1943) is a retired Australian sports commentator, known for his coverage of televised professional rugby league matches on the Nine Network. He is known as the "Voice of Rugby League", and called 99 State of Origin games as well as 45 NRL Grand Finals. Warren also used to call Australian swimming team events and the FINA World Championships until Nine lost the rights to these events in 2008 and in 2012 participated in Nine's coverage of the London Olympics.
