2C-B-DRAGONFLY
2C-B-DRAGONFLY (2C-B-DFLY) is a recreational designer drug with psychedelic effects. It can be regarded as the fully aromatic derivative of 2C-B-FLY. 2C-B-DRAGONFLY is stronger than 2C-B or 2C-B-FLY with around 2-3x the potency of 2C-B in animal studies, demonstrating the importance of the fully aromatic benzodifuran ring system for optimum receptor binding at 5-HT2A, but it is still considerably less potent than its alpha-methyl derivative Bromo-DragonFLY. Substituted Benzofuran
The substituted benzofurans are a class of chemical compounds based on the heterocyclyc and polycyclic compound benzofuran. Many medicines use the benzofuran core as a scaffold, but most commonly the term is used to refer to the simpler compounds in this class which include numerous psychoactive drugs, including stimulants, psychedelics and empathogens. In general, these compounds have a benzofuran core to which a 2-aminoethyl group is attached (at any position), and combined with a range of other substituents. Some psychoactive derivatives from this family have been sold under the name '' Benzofury''. List of substituted benzofurans The derivatives may be produced by substitutions at six locations of the benzofuran molecule, as well as saturation of the 2,3- double bond. The following table displays notable derivatives that have been reported: Legislation Substituted benzofurans saw widespread use as recreational drugs by being sold as research chemicals making the ...

DOB-FLY
DOB-FLY is a recreational designer drug with psychedelic effects. It can be regarded as the alpha-methyl derivative of 2C-B-FLY or the partially saturated counterpart of bromo-dragonfly. Unlike bromo-dragonfly, DOB-FLY is only slightly more potent than DOB itself, with an active dose in humans of around 1 mg. Serotonin Receptor Agonists
Serotonin () or 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) is a monoamine neurotransmitter. Its biological function is complex and multifaceted, modulating mood, cognition, reward, learning, memory, and numerous physiological processes such as vomiting and vasoconstriction. Approximately 90% of the serotonin that the body produces is in the intestinal tract. Biochemically, the indoleamine molecule derives from the amino acid tryptophan, via the (rate-limiting) hydroxylation of the 5 position on the ring (forming the intermediate 5-hydroxytryptophan), and then decarboxylation to produce serotonin. Serotonin is primarily found in the enteric nervous system located in the gastrointestinal tract (GI tract). However, it is also produced in the central nervous system (CNS), specifically in the raphe nuclei located in the brainstem, Merkel cells located in the skin, pulmonary neuroendocrine cells and taste receptor cells in the tongue. Additionally, serotonin is stored in blood platelets and is rel ...

Psychedelic Phenethylamines
Psychedelics are a subclass of hallucinogenic drugs whose primary effect is to trigger non-ordinary states of consciousness (known as psychedelic experiences or "trips").Pollan, Michael (2018). ''How to Change Your Mind: What the New Science of Psychedelics Teaches Us About Consciousness, Dying, Addiction, Depression, and Transcendence'' Sometimes, they are called classic hallucinogens, serotonergic hallucinogens, or serotonergic psychedelics, and the term ''psychedelics'' is used more broadly to include all hallucinogens; this article uses the narrower definition of ''psychedelics''. Psychedelics cause specific psychological, visual, and auditory changes, and often a substantially altered state of consciousness.Leary, Timothy; Metzner, Ralph (1964). ''The Psychedelic Experience: A Manual Based on The Tibetan Book of the Dead'' Psychedelic states are often compared to meditative, psychodynamic or transcendental types of alterations of mind. Designer Drugs
A designer drug is a structural or functional analog of a controlled substance that has been designed to mimic the pharmacological effects of the original drug, while avoiding classification as illegal and/or detection in standard drug tests. Designer drugs include psychoactive substances that have been designated by the European Union as new psychoactive substances (NPS) as well as analogs of performance-enhancing drugs such as designer steroids. Some of these were originally synthesized by academic or industrial researchers in an effort to discover more potent derivatives with fewer side effects, and shorter duration (and possibly also because it is easier to apply for patents for new molecules) and were later co-opted for recreational use. Other designer drugs were prepared for the first time in clandestine laboratories. Because the efficacy and safety of these substances have not been thoroughly evaluated in animal and human trials, the use of some of these drugs may result i ...

TFMFly
TFMFly is a compound related to psychedelic phenethylamines such as 2C-B-FLY and 2C-TFM. It was first reported in 2005 by a team at Purdue University led by David Nichols. It acts as a potent agonist at the 5HT2A serotonin receptor subtype, and is a chiral compound with the more active (R) enantiomer having a Ki of 0.12 nM at the human 5HT2A receptor. While the fully aromatic benzodifurans such as bromodragonfly generally have higher binding affinity than saturated compounds like 2C-B-FLY, the saturated compounds have higher efficacy as agonists. Legal Status TFMFly is illegal in Latvia. See also * 2C-E-FLY * Bromo-dragonfly * DOB-FLY DOB-FLY is a recreational designer drug with psychedelic effects. NBOMe-2C-B-FLY
2CBFly-NBOMe (NBOMe-2C-B-FLY, Cimbi-31) is a compound indirectly derived from the phenethylamine hallucinogen 2C-B, and related to benzodifurans like 2C-B-FLY and ''N''-benzylphenethylamines like 25I-NBOMe. It was discovered in 2002, and further researched by Ralf Heim at the Free University of Berlin, and subsequently investigated in more detail by a team at Purdue University led by David E. Nichols.
