28th Bangladesh National Film Awards
The 28th National Film Awards, presented by Ministry of Information, Bangladesh to felicitate the best of Bangladeshi Cinema released in the year 2003. Bangladesh National Film Awards is a film award ceremony in Bangladesh established in 1975 by Government of Bangladesh. Every year, a national panel appointed by the government selects the winning entry, and the award ceremony is held in Dhaka. Chief Adviser Dr. Fakhruddin Ahmed presented the awards at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre on 23 October. Gazi Mazharul Anwar
Gazi Mazharul Anwar (22 February 1943 – 4 September 2022) was a Bangladeshi film director, producer, lyricist, screenwriter and music director. He earned the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Lyricist a record six times for the films ''Tit for Tat (1992)'', ''Ajante (1996)'', ''Churiwala (2001)'', ''Lal Dariya (2002)'', ''Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti (2003)'' and '' Meyeti Ekhon Kothay Jabe (2016)''. He worked as a lyricist in the "Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra". He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2002 and Independence Day Award in 2021 by the government of Bangladesh. Baby Naznin (born 23 August 1965) is a Bangladeshi singer. She won the 2003BACHSAS Award for Best Female Playback Singer. She also won the 2003 Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for her performance in the film ''Sahoshi Manush Chai''. She is dubbed "Black Diamond" in Bangladesh. Bashir Ahmed (11 November 1939 – 19 April 2014) was a Bangladeshi playback singer who started his career from Pakistan film industry. Born in Kolkata, West Bengal, he migrated to Dhaka, East Bengal after the Partition period in 1960 and started his singing career. He is known as ''East Pakistan's Ahmed Rushdi'' because his singing style is inspired by Ahmed Rushdi.
