2672 Písek
2672 Písek, provisional designation ', is a Eunomia asteroid from the central regions of the asteroid belt, approximately in diameter. It was discovered on 31 May 1979, by Yugoslav astronomer Jaroslav Květoň at the Kleť Observatory in the Czech Republic. The likely elongated asteroid is a suspected tumbler and a slow rotator with an exceptionally long period of 831 hours. It was named after the Czech town of Písek. Orbit and classification ''Písek'' is a core member of the Eunomia family (), a prominent family of stony S-type asteroid and the largest one in the intermediate main belt with more than 5,000 members. It orbits the Sun in the central main-belt at a distance of 2.2–3.0  AU once every 4 years and 3 months (1,543 days; semi-major axis of 2.61 AU). Its orbit has an eccentricity of 0.15 and an inclination of 14 ° with respect to the ecliptic. The asteroid was first observed as ' at Johannesburg Observatory in July 1937. The body's observ ...
