24 Years of Hunger is a pop music album released in 1991 by & Alice, the collaboration of Eg White and Alice Temple. ''24 Years of Hunger'' was critically acclaimed, although it failed to chart. It is the only album that the duo ever released. Allmusic describes ''24 Years of Hunger'' as "one of the finest, most refined and fully realized recordings of the era, employing a much more sophisticated and romantic style than anything else out of England at the time". Pop music is a genre of popular music that originated in its modern form during the mid-1950s in the United States and the United Kingdom. Eg White
Francis Anthony "Eg" White (born 22 November 1966) is a British musician, songwriter and producer. He started his career in the cowpunk band Yip Yip Coyote in the 1980s and then formed Brother Beyond with his brother, David White, in the late 1980s. In 1990, Eg White recorded the pop album '' 24 Years of Hunger'', and then in 1992 he produced the debut, self-titled album by Kinky Machine. He turned to songwriting in 1997, winning the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically in 2004. In 2008 White worked with Adele on three tracks. In 2009 White was awarded his second Ivor Novello Award for 'Songwriter of the Year' and in 2010 he had a second UK number 1 with the Diana Vickers single " Once", a song he wrote with Cathy Dennis. White started his own record label in 2009. Alice Temple
Alice Temple is an English musician, singer and songwriter, born in London. She is best known for her collaboration with Eg White under the name and Alice. She is also notable for having been the first female UK and European BMX champion. BMX In her teens, Temple was the first female UK and European BMX champion. The Blue Nile
The Blue Nile was a Scottish band which originated in Glasgow. The group's early music was built heavily on synthesizers and electronic instrumentation and percussion, although later works featured guitar more prominently. Prefab Sprout are an English pop band from Witton Gilbert, County Durham who rose to fame during the 1980s. Traveling Wilburys
The Traveling Wilburys were a British-American supergroup consisting of Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty. Originating from an idea discussed by Harrison and Lynne during the sessions for Harrison's 1987 album '' Cloud Nine'', the band formed in April 1988 after the five members united to record a bonus track for Harrison's next European single.
