24 Hour Quiz
''24 Hour Quiz'' is a British game show that was broadcast on ITV between 16 February and 2 April 2004, presented by Shaun Williamson and Matt Brown and created by Richard Osman for Endemol UK. Three people lived together in the "Quiz Pod", and faced multiple choice questions for at least 16 hours per day, with £1 (sometimes more) won per correct answer. The programme was spread across three different shows each day (except weekends) on ITV1. Firstly, a half-hour show at 1pm in which fourteen contestants were whittled down to seven in head-to-head knockout battles, in which the first one to give a wrong answer was eliminated. Then, in the main show at 5pm, the seven contestants contested a series of further elimination rounds, the winner going up against the worst performing player from the Quiz Pod in the two hours before transmission in a head-to-head contest. Shaun Williamson
Shaun Williamson (born 29 November 1965) is an English actor best known as Barry Evans in ''EastEnders'' and as a satirical version of himself in the BBC/HBO sitcom '' Extras'', 'Barry off EastEnders'. Early life Williamson was born in Park Wood, Maidstone. He attended Holy Family RC Primary School, followed by St Simon Stock Catholic School where he frequently played truant. Following school he became a postman, but developed a drink problem, consuming 12 pints of beer a day by the time he was 18. He later said he joined the Royal Navy at that point "to break that cycle". He completed his training at HMS ''Raleigh''. He intended to become a helicopter pilot but was rejected when it was discovered he was colour blind. Matthew Brown (born 14 August 1973 in Lancashire) is a British television presenter. Career He started out in 1999 hosting Nickelodeon UK along with Mike McClean, Simon Amstell, Casey-Jane Rand, Mounya Khamlichi and Yiolanda Koppel, but is best known for presenting the ITV2 spin-off programmes '' Love Island Aftersun'', which he hosted in 2005 with ''Celebrity Love Island'' winner Jayne Middlemiss in 2006, and '' I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! Bow, London
Bow () is an area of East London within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It is primarily a built-up and mostly residential area and is east of Charing Cross. Richard Thomas Osman (born 28 November 1970) is an English television presenter, producer, novelist and comedian. He is the creator and former co-presenter of the BBC One television quiz show ''Pointless''.
