24 (album)
''24'' is the first greatest hits album by contemporary Christian music group Point of Grace. It was released in 2003 by Word Records. The album title refers to the group's 24 consecutive #1 hits on the ''Billboard'' Contemporary Christian Songs chart. One new song was recorded for the album: "Day by Day," which was founding member Terry Jones' final recording with the group, prior to her departure in 2004, when she was replaced by Leigh Cappillino. The album was originally released in a digipak with only the words "Point of Grace" and "24" on the cover. It was later reissued in a standard 2CD jewel case with a photo of the group added to the cover, then again with a photo including Cappillino, though she does not appear on the album. Two tie-ins to the album were released: a book written by the group, titled ''Keep the Candle Burning: 24 Reflections on Our Favorite Songs'', and a DVD of music videos, titled ''7'' (a play on the phrase "24/7"). Track listing * Disc 1, track ...

Greatest Hits
A greatest hits album or best-of album is a type of compilation album that collects popular and commercially successful songs by a particular artist or band. While greatest hits albums are typically supported by the artist, they can also be created by record companies without express approval from the original artist as a means to generate sales. They are typically regarded as a good starting point for new fans of an artist, but are sometimes criticized by longtime fans as not inclusive enough or necessary at all. It is also common for greatest hits albums to include new recordings, remixes or unreleased alternate takes of the hit songs, plus other new material as bonus tracks to increase appeal for longtime fans (who might otherwise already own the recordings included). At times, a greatest hits compilation marks the first album appearance of a successful single that was never attached to a previous studio album. History The first greatest hits album was Johnny Mathis's ''J ...

Life, Love & Other Mysteries
''Life, Love & Other Mysteries'' (stylized as ''life love & other mysteries'') is the third album by contemporary Christian music group Point of Grace. It was released in 1996 by Word and Epic Records. Two tie-ins to the album were released: a video, subtitled ''The Video Story'', and an autobiography by the group, written with Davin Seay. Background The group characterized the album as their hardest to record. They called it a "growing pain" because John Mays, who had signed them to Word Records, had left the label. Shortly afterward, Word was sold, leaving the group to make all major decisions independently. Music videos were filmed for "Keep the Candle Burning" and "That's the Way It's Meant to Be," and a live video was released for "Circle of Friends." The "Keep the Candle Burning" video featured footage from the group's four-city tour on the album's release day, including shots from the Dallas Mavericks' jet showing Terry Jones' husband, Chris; Denise Jones' husband, Stu; a ...

The Whole Truth (Point Of Grace Album)
''The Whole Truth'' is the second album by Contemporary Christian group Point of Grace. It was released in 1995 by Word Records with selected market distribution by Epic Records. Background and release ''The Whole Truth'' followed the group's debut album, which had produced six #1 singles. As a result, Word Records' promotion department felt intimidated by the prospect of its first single, "The Great Divide." The lyrics of "The Great Divide," as recorded, were the result of a happy mistake: the line "There's a bridge to cross the great divide" was meant to be repeated, but a typo rendered the second instance as "There's a cross to bridge the great divide." On December 9, 1995, the album charted on ''Billboards Top Christian Albums at #8 and on the ''Billboard'' 200 at No. 132. Each of the album's five singles, released between March 1995 and April 1996 reached #1 on the Christian songs chart, continuing what would become the group's historic run of 24 consecutive #1's on the ...

Point Of Grace (album)
''Point of Grace'' is the debut album by the contemporary Christian music group of the same name. It was released in 1993 by Word Records. In 2000, the album was remastered and reissued with new artwork. Background, release, and legacy The album produced six #1 singles on ''Billboards Christian songs chart, making the group the first to achieve such a run with their debut album. One music video was filmed, for "Jesus Will Still Be There." The group's debut single, "I'll Be Believing," was the only programmed song on the album. John Mays, then the group's A&R representative at Word Records, originally thought it would be best if it were buried in the tracklist. When the song was later performed live in 1996 on The Message About Life, Love & Other Mysteries Tour, an entirely new sequence was designed by Michael Hodge and Mark Childers. Hodge appears in the group's video for a later song, "Circle of Friends," which was recorded on that tour. Since Heather Payne's departure from t ...
