The 23rd government of Turkey (25 December 1957 – 27 May 1960) was a government in the history of Turkey. It is also called ''the fifth Menderes government''. Adnan Menderes VI
Adnan ( ar, عدنان, 'adnān) is the traditional ancestor of the Adnanite Arabs of Northern, Western, Eastern and Central Arabia, as opposed to the Qahtanite Arabs of Southern Arabia who descend from Qahtan. His ancestry can be traced back to Abraham and from there to Adam and Noah. Origin According to tradition, Adnan is the father of a group of the Ishmaelite Arabs who inhabited West and Northern Arabia; he is a descendant of Ishmael, son of Abraham. Adnan is believed by genealogists to be the father of many Ishmaelite tribes along the Western coast of Arabia, Northern Arabia and Iraq. History Initially, the ministry was formed as the Office of Labour and Labourers within the Ministry of Economy upon Act of Parliament No. 2450, which came into force on 27 May 1934. As a governmental ministry, it was established on June 22, 1945 with the Act of Parliament No. 4763. In 1983, the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Social Security were merged into the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. Sıtkı Yırcalı
Sıtkı Yırcalı (1908–1988) was a Turkish jurist and politician who served in various cabinet posts during the period between 1950 and 1958. He was a member of the Democrat Party and then of the Justice Party. Early life and education Yırcalı was born in Balıkesir on 13 September 1908. He hailed from a well-known family, and his father, Yırcalızade Şükrü, was a member of the Committee of Union and Progress who was active in its local branch. Sıtkı graduated from Kabataş Erkek Lisesi in 1928. He received a bachelor's degree in law from Istanbul University and a PhD in law from the University of Paris. Career Following his graduation Yırcalı worked as a lawyer in his hometown. He joined the Democrat Party in 1946 and became its head in Balıkesir. He was elected to the Parliament in 1950 and served there for three terms. Mehmet Lütfi Kırdar (March 15, 1887 – February 17, 1961) was a Turkish physician, civil servant, politician and Minister of Health and Social Security. He is best remembered for his long-term position as the Governor and Mayor of Istanbul. Early years and professional career Lütfi Kırdar was born 1887 in his native city of Kirkuk (then the Ottoman Empire) to the prominent Turkmen Kirdar family. After finishing primary and secondary education in his hometown, he graduated from high school in Baghdad, Ottoman Empire. In 1908, he went to Istanbul to study medicine at Istanbul University.
