220th New Jersey Legislature
The 220th New Jersey Legislature began on January 11, 2022, following the 2021 elections for Assembly and Senate. It will end on January 9, 2024. The New Jersey Legislature is the legislative branch of the government of the U.S. state of New Jersey. In its current form, as defined by the New Jersey Constitution of 1947, the Legislature consists of two houses: the General Assembly and the Senate. The Legislature meets in the New Jersey State House, in the state capital of Trenton. Antwan McClellan
Antwan McClellan is an American Republican Party politician who has represented the 1st Legislative District in the New Jersey General Assembly since January 14, 2020. McClellan served as an Ocean City Councilman from 2012 until 2020. Personal and early life McClellan is a lifelong resident of Ocean City. He is the youngest of six siblings. He attended Ocean City High School as well as Virginia State University and Old Dominion University. McClellan serves as the Confidential Assistant/Personnel Director/Public Information Officer in the Cape May County Sheriff's Department. Washington Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey
Washington Township is a township in Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 U.S. census, the township's population was 48,677, an increase of 118 from the 2010 census count of 48,559, which in turn reflected an increase of 1,445 (+3.1%) from the 47,114 counted in the 2000 census. For 2021, the Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program calculated a population of 49,391. Washington Township was incorporated by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 17, 1836, from portions of Deptford Township. The township officially moved to the newly created Camden County on March 13, 1844. Monroe Township was created on March 3, 1859, from part of the township. As of the 2011 apportionment the district covers the Camden County municipalities of Chesilhurst, Clementon, Gloucester Township, Laurel Springs, Lindenwold and Winslow Township; and the Gloucester County municipalities of Monroe Township, Pitman and Washington Township. Demographic characteristics As of the 2020 United States census, the district had a population of 231,008, of whom 181,075 (78.4%) were of voting age. Mannington Township is a township in Salem County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 1,475, a decrease of 331 (−18.3%) from the 2010 census count of 1,806, which in turn reflected an increase of 247 (+15.8%) from the 1,559 counted in the 2000 census. History Mannington Township was first mentioned on May 12, 1701. It had been previously known as East Fenwick Township, which was mentioned on September 3, 1679, though the details of its incorporation are unknown.
