21st Forqué Awards
The 21st ceremony of the Forqué Awards was held on 11 January 2016 at the IFEMA Palacio Municipal, Palacio Municipal de Congresos in Madrid. The gala, aired on La 1 (Spanish TV channel), La 1, was hosted by Macarena Gómez and José Corbacho. History The nominations were disclosed in December 2015. ''Truman (2015 film), Truman'' and ''The Clan (2015 film), The Clan'' (running both in the Best Film and the Best Latin-American film categories) gathered the most nominations. Organised by , the award ceremony was held at the IFEMA Palacio Municipal, Palacio Municipal de Congresos in Madrid on 11 January 2016. The gala got off to a late start because the regional president Cristina Cifuentes did not arrive in time. IFEMA Palacio Municipal
The IFEMA Palacio Municipal, formerly known as Palacio Municipal de Congresos, is a convention centre in Madrid, Spain. It is located near the IFEMA's main fairground complex in the Campo de las Naciones area. It is operated by IFEMA since 2019. History It is located in the Corralejos neighborhood, Barajas district. Designed by Ricardo Bofill, building works lasted from March 1991 to May 1993. The building was inaugurated on 19 October 1993. Since 1995, when the Goya Awards moved from the similarly named Palacio de Congresos in the Paseo de la Castellana, the venue has hosted several editions of the awards' ceremonies. On 15 December 1995, the venue hosted the EU summit that ratified the creation of the "euro" currency. Tricicle
Tricicle is a humorous gestural theater company of three actors, Joan Gràcia, Paco Mir, and Carles Sans. They founded the company in 1979 to perform brief sketches in the street and at alternative venues. At that time, the three members of Tricicle were students at Barcelona’s Institut del Teatre and specialized in pantomime and in the dramatic arts. In 1982, following several seasons of performances at alternative venues, they made their debut on the professional circuit at the Sala Villarroel in Barcelona with a show comprising a collection of different sketches created during their time at the so-called cafés-teatro (bars and cafés offering live performances). ''Ciutat Morta'' (, "Dead City") is a 2013 Catalan documentary about the 4F case, directed by Xavier Artigas and Xapo Ortega. The film covers the repercussions of the events of February 4, 2006, when a Guàrdia Urbana officer in Barcelona was grievously injured and several people were arrested. This resulted in a long court-case and ultimately four people were convicted and imprisoned, one of whom committed suicide. ''Ciutat Morta'' argues that the convictions were unjust and reflect general trends of police prejudice, violence and impunity to prosecution.
