21st Century Slave
''21st Century Slave'' is the third studio album by Italian industrial rock band Dope Stars Inc. and has been considered a big step in the industrial metal and electronica genre. Lyrically it focuses on traditional cyberpunk beliefs and themes. Similar to many of their previous albums and EPs, ''21st Century Slave'' was produced by Victor Love. Upon release, ''21st Century Slave'' garnered more media attention than Dope Stars previous albums, receiving some positive reviews with several critics complementing the album's loud guitars and use of instruments, although opinions on the singing of lead vocalist Victor Love were mixed. The technological revolution themes and lyrics inspired by a dystopian future were also praised as being deeper than many other bands of the genre. Dope Stars Inc. is an Italy, Italian alternative and industrial rock band from Rome, Italy, Rome, formed in 2003. The band was founded by Victor Love, Darin Yevonde, Grace Khold and Brian Wolfram. They have five albums and three EPs released, with the latest being released on February 27, 2015. The band has signed with multiple labels since their inception, with Trisol Music Group being their first. William Gibson
William Ford Gibson (born March 17, 1948) is an American-Canadian speculative fiction writer and essayist widely credited with pioneering the science fiction subgenre known as ''cyberpunk''. Heathen Harvest
Heathen Harvest was an Internet blog devoted to music criticism, music news, and interviews. It focused on underground and post-industrial music, including ambient, heavy metal, gothic, and industrial music. The site, which was established in 2003, was one of the longest-running webzines of its kind and has been dubbed "one of the leading online magazines for post-industrial music" and "the internet's foremost authority on neofolk." The website temporarily closed in June 2010 but was relaunched in July 2011 at a different domain. The staff stopped publishing new content in August 2019, without explanation, and by January 2020, the domain had expired. The Cassandra Complex is a British electronic rock group originally formed by Rodney Orpheus, Paul Dillon, and Andy Booth in 1980 in Leeds, England. The current line-up still features Orpheus and Booth, with the addition of Hamburg musicians Volker Zacharias and Axel Ermes.
