2025 Women's Rugby World Cup Qualifying
The qualification process for the 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup in England began during the knockout stage of the 2021 tournament in New Zealand, at which the four teams that reached the semi-finals qualified automatically for the 2025 event. A further six teams will qualify as winners of six regional tournaments in 2024. The final six spots will go to the highest-finishing WXV teams who have not yet qualified. The qualification process for the 2021 Rugby World Cup began on 9 August 2019 with 12 teams qualifying to the tournament which will be held in New Zealand. The 2021 Rugby World Cup was postponed by one year in March 2021 to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Brazil women's national rugby union team are the national side of Brazil, representing them at rugby union. After several successful performances at Sevens rugby, they played their first 15-a-side fixture in May 2008 against Netherlands and lost 10–0. The Samoa women's national rugby union team is a national sporting side of Samoa, representing the nation at rugby union. The side first played in 2000. History Samoa has attended three World Cups, namely the 2002, 2006 and 2014 Rugby World Cups. Samoa won the 2019 Asia Pacific Championship in Fiji. The Estadio Héroes de Curupayty is a rugby union stadium in Luque, Paraguay. It is owned by the National Government of Paraguay and administered by Secretaria Nacional de Deportes through the Paraguayan Rugby Union. The stadium is located within the Parque Olímpico, the property of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, and it is the home ground of the Paraguay national rugby union team. In early 2020, the stadium underwent renovation works for a total amount of ₲ 2,998,882.813 and was reopened on 25 November 2020. The works included the implementation of synthetic turf which complies with Regulation 22 of World Rugby that specifies the requirements for artificial turf for use in the sport of rugby.
