Macarthur FC
Macarthur Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in South Western Sydney, New South Wales. It competes in Australia's premier soccer competition, the A-League, under licence from Australian Professional Leagues (APL). On 13 December 2018, it was announced that the club would be accepted into the A-League as part of the new expansion process. History The club's origins are in the merging of two separate bids during the league's expansion process in 2018, United for Macarthur and South West Sydney FC. The two entities joined forces on 20 August 2018 to create Macarthur South West United Football Club, which later that year was chosen by the FFA to join the league in the 2020–21 A-League season. Liam Joseph Rose (born 7 April 1997) is an Australian footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for USL Championship club El Paso Locomotive. Career Rose was educated at Bossley Park High School. Central Coast Mariners Rose was signed alongside fellow AIS scholarship holder Anthony Kalik on full senior contracts by then Central Coast Mariners' coach Graham Arnold. Kealey Adamson (born 9 March 2003) is an Australian footballer who plays for Macarthur FC in the A-League Men. Career Adamson made his professional debut for Sydney FC, having come through the youth ranks, and was signed to a short-term contract for the 2023 Australia Cup, where he impressed at right-back in the opening rounds of the competition. However, Adamson's good performances would not see his contract extended, and he would go on to sign for rival club Macarthur FC. Due to Macarthur signing Adamson outside of the registration window, Adamson would be unable to play for Macarthur until January when the next registration window opened up.
