2024–25 Coppin State Eagles Men's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Coppin State Eagles men's basketball team represented Coppin State University during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Eagles, led by second-year head coach Larry Stewart, played their home games at the Physical Education Complex in Baltimore, Maryland as members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Previous season The Eagles finished the 2023–24 season 2–27, 1–13 in MEAC play to finish in last place. They were defeated by Norfolk State in the quarterfinals of the MEAC tournament. Larry Stewart (basketball)
Larry Stewart (born September 21, 1968) is an American former professional basketball player, formerly of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is currently the head coach at Coppin State. The team has not found much success, compiling a 2–18 record as of February 2024. Stewart attended Coppin State University where he led his team to the 1990 NCAA Tournament, the first appearance in school history. Coppin State was a 15 seed and lost to Derrick Coleman's Syracuse squad 70–48 in the first round. After college, he signed as an un drafted free agent with the Washington Bullets in 1991. He averaged 10.4 points, and 5.9 rebounds in his rookie season (1991–92), and became the first undrafted player in NBA history to make an All-NBA Rookie Team (2nd). It is part of Bremen High School District 228 which also includes Tinley Park High School, Oak Forest High School, and Bremen High School. The Eastern Michigan Eagles men's basketball team represents Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The team currently competes in the West division of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). Ellsworth Community College is a public community college in Iowa Falls, Iowa. It was founded as Ellsworth College in 1890 by Eugene S. Ellsworth. Originally a private business academy, it later became a four-year college, a music conservatory, and a public junior college before being absorbed into the Iowa Valley Community College District in 1968.
