The 2024–25 Belgian Division 3 is scheduled to be the ninth season of the division in its current format, placed at the fifth tier of football in Belgium. Team changes In * Promoted from the Belgian Provincial Leagues were: ** Champions for each of the provincial leagues: Bevel (Antwerp), Sporting Bruxelles (Brabant ACFF), Rotselaar (Brabant VV), St-Ghislain Tertre Hautrage (Hainaut), Geer (Liège), Achel (Limburg), Harre-Manhay (Luxembourg), Biesme (Namur) ** In East-Flanders, Drongen took over the promotion spot of champions Munkzwalm, who did not ask for a license and were hence ineligible for promotion. ** In West-Flanders, provincial league champion ''K.S.V. Diksmuide'' merged with neighbours Oostende who ceased to exist after going bankrupt. Belgian Division 3
The Belgian Division 3, commonly referred to as simply Derde Afdeling (in Dutch) or Division 3 (in French) is the fifth-highest division in the Belgian football league system, one level below the Belgian Division 2. It was created by the Royal Belgian Football Association in 2016 as a new layer at the fifth level of the league system, at that time named ''Belgian Third Amateur Division''. From the 2020–21 season on it was renamed to Belgian Division 3, due to the negative connotation of the word amateur. The division consists of four separate leagues with 16 teams each, two of these leagues consist of teams playing with a license from the ''Voetbalfederatie Vlaanderen'' (VFV, the Dutch-speaking wing of the RBFA) and two with teams with a license from the ''Association des Clubs Francophones de Football'' (ACFF, the French-speaking wing of the RBFA). Erpe-Mere United is a Belgian association football club based in Bambrugge, East Flanders. The club has matricule number 5343 and the club's colours are black and yellow. They currently play in East Flanders Division One in the Belgian Provincial leagues. They play their home games at the Complex Lindekouter in Bambrugge. History The club was founded on 16 August 1949 as RC Bambrugge and joined the Royal Belgian Football Association on 24 June 1950, with matricule number 5343 being assigned to the team. Bambrugge played for decades in the provisional leagues, but climbed steadily, and remained at the top of the Second Provincial division for years. They were the winners of their series in 2009, resulting in promotion to the highest provincial level, the first club ever from Erpe-Mere to achieve this. Eendracht Elene Grotenberge is a Belgian association football club based in Zottegem, East Flanders. The club has matricule number 3861 and the club's colors are blue and white. They currently play in the Belgian Division 3, and play their home games at Breivelde in Zottegem. History The club was created in 2014 as a merger of two clubs: ''Eendracht Grotenberge'': founded in 1941 and assigned matricule 3861 after joining the Belgian FA in 1943.
