2024 WNBA All-Star Game
The 2024 WNBA All-Star Game was an exhibition women's basketball game played on July 20, 2024, at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona, United States as part of the 2024 WNBA season. The Phoenix Mercury hosted the game and related events for the third time, having previously hosted the 2000 All-Star Game and 2014 All-Star Game. On July 19, 2024, Allisha Gray of the Atlanta Dream won both the Starry 3-Point Contest and Skills Challenge. She became the first player in WNBA history to win both events at a single All-Star game. Team WNBA defeated Team USA 117–109. Team WNBA's Arike Ogunbowale broke the All-Star game scoring record, registering a total of 34 points (all in the second half) and earning her a second All-Star MVP Award. Footprint Center (formerly known as America West Arena, US Airways Center, Talking Stick Resort Arena and Phoenix Suns Arena) is a multi-purpose arena in Phoenix, Arizona. Caitlin Clark (born January 22, 2002) is an American college basketball player for the Iowa Hawkeyes of the Big Ten Conference. She plays the point guard position. At Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines, Iowa, Clark was named a McDonald's All-American and was ranked fourth in her class by ESPN. In her first season at Iowa, Clark led the NCAA Division I in scoring, three-pointers and total assists. The Atlanta Dream are an American professional basketball team based in Atlanta, playing in the Eastern Conference in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Allisha Gray (born January 12, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and Elitzur Ramla of Israel. The 2014 WNBA All-Star Game was an exhibition basketball game played on July 19, 2014 at the venue then known as US Airways Center (now Talking Stick Resort Arena) in Phoenix, Arizona, the current home of the Phoenix Mercury. This was the 12th edition of the WNBA All-Star Game, and was played during the 2014 WNBA season. This was the second time the event had been held in Phoenix, the other being the 2000 game.
