The 2024 United Cup will be the second edition of the United Cup, an international outdoor hard court mixed-gender team tennis tournament held by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). Serving as the opener for the 2024 ATP Tour and the 2024 WTA Tour, it will be held from 29 December 2023 to 7 January 2024 at two venues in the Australian cities of Perth and Sydney Sydney ( ) is the capital city of the state of New South Wales, and the most populous city in both Australia and Oceania. The United Cup is an international hard court tennis tournament featuring mixed-gender teams from 18 countries. The first event was held in December 2022 through January 2023. The tournament is played across three Australian cities over 11 days in the leadup to the Australian Open. It is also the first mixed-gender team event to offer both ATP rankings and WTA rankings points to its players: a player will be able to win a maximum of 500 points. History On 7 August 2022, Tennis Australia announced that the ATP Cup, which was an international outdoor hard court men's team tournament played in the Australian summer, would be shut down and replaced by a mixed-gender event from 2023. ATP Ranking
The Pepperstone ATP rankings are the merit-based method used by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for determining the qualification for entry as well as the seeding of players in all singles and doubles tournaments. The first rankings for singles were published on 23 August 1973 while the doubles players were ranked for the first time on 1 March 1976. Thiago Seyboth Wild (; born 10 March 2000) is a Brazilian tennis player. He won 2018 US Open junior singles title. He reached a career high ATP singles ranking of No. 106 on September 14, 2020 and a career high ITF junior ranking of No. 8 on January 22, 2018. He also has a career high ATP doubles ranking of 393 achieved on February 10, 2020. Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (born 5 June 1999) is a Spanish professional tennis player. He has a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 27 achieved on 18 April 2022 and a career-high doubles ranking of World No. 213 achieved on 17 May 2021. Group A
Group A is a set of motorsport regulations administered by the FIA covering production derived vehicles intended for competition, usually in touring car racing and rallying. In contrast to the short-lived Group B and Group C, Group A vehicles were limited in terms of power, weight, allowed technology and overall cost. Group A was aimed at ensuring numerous entries in races of privately owned vehicles. The Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre is a tennis and multi-purpose sports facility located within the Olympic Park in Parramatta, near Sydney, Australia.
