The 49th annual Toronto International Film Festival will be held from September 5 to 15, 2024. David James Furnish (born 25 October 1962) is a Canadian filmmaker and former advertising executive. He is married to English singer, pianist and composer Sir Elton John. Early life and education David Furnish was born in Toronto, Ontario, the son of Gladys and Jack Furnish, a director at the Bristol-Myers pharmaceutical company. Cosima Spender (born in Italy) is an Anglo-Italian film director, producer and writer who has worked in varying capacities on ''Dolce Vita Africana'' (2008 director and producer), ''Without Gorky'' (2011 director and writer) and ''Palio'' (2015 writer and director). Share Her Journey is a Canadian film program, created by the Toronto International Film Festival to foster the development and career advancement of women in the film industry.
