The 2024 Toronto FC season is the 18th season in the history of Toronto FC, and the first full season under head coach John Herdman. Squad ''As of August 21, 2024'' Players no longer on roster Roster slots Toronto is allocated 8+3 international roster slots and three Designated Player slots available for use in the 2024 season. Beginning in 2022, MLS added three non-tradeable international roster spots to the Canadian franchises to compensate for the more complicated residency requirements compared to in the United States; players occupying these additional roster spots were required to have played and been registered with a Canadian MLS club for at least one full year. In February 2024, they acquired an additional international roster slot from CF Montréal in exchange for $50,000 in GAM in 2024 and $125,000 in GAM in 2025. Toronto Football Club (commonly known as Toronto FC or TFC) is a Canadian professional soccer club based in Toronto. Gregory Nicholas Ranjitsingh (born 18 July 1993) is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Major League Soccer club Toronto FC. Born in Canada, Ranjitsingh represents Trinidad and Tobago internationally. Ranjitsingh spent four years with Mercer University before joining Louisville City in March 2015. In August 2016, he became the first Louisville player to be called up for international play after the Trinidad and Tobago national team selected him for 2018 World Cup qualification. Sigurd Rosted (; born 22 July 1994) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Major League Soccer club Toronto FC and the Norway national team. Aimé Mabika (born 16 August 1998) is a Zambian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Major League Soccer club Inter Miami and the Zambia national team. Kevin Finbarr Long (born 18 August 1990) is an Irish professional footballer who plays for Major League Soccer club Toronto FC and the Republic of Ireland national team. He plays mainly as a centre-back but can also fill in at full-back. Long began his career with Cork City before joining Burnley in 2010 as a 19-year-old.
