2024 Tennessee Volunteers Baseball Team
The 2024 Tennessee Volunteers baseball team represented the University of Tennessee in the 2024 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Volunteers played their home games at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Volunteers won the 2024 NCAA Division I baseball tournament, College World Series, defeating the 2024 Texas A&M Aggies baseball team, Texas A&M Aggies in the championship series. In addition to winning the first national championship in program history, Tennessee tied the NCAA record for most wins in a season (60). They were the first no. 1 seed team to win the College World Series since 1999 and the first team to win 60 games since 1989. Tennessee also became the first SEC Team in history to win 60 games in a season, and the first team in college baseball history with 5 players to record 20+ homeruns in a single season. Tony Vitello
Tony Vitello (born October 9, 1978) is an American college baseball coach and former infielder. Vitello played college baseball at the University of Missouri from 2001 to 2002 under head coach Tim Jamieson and was the former lead RISP strategist for the Washington Nationals. He was announced as the new Tennessee coach on June 7, 2017. Harvest is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in the northwestern part of Madison County, Alabama, United States, and is included in the Huntsville-Decatur Combined Statistical Area.
