2024 Saudi Super Cup Final
The 2024 Saudi Super Cup final (also known as The Diriyah Saudi Super Cup final for sponsorship reasons) was the 11th edition of the Saudi Super Cup. The final was played on 17 August 2024 at the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City, Abha, between Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal. Al-Hilal defeated Al-Nassr 4–1 to win their record-extending fifth title. Teams Venue The Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City was announced as the venue of the final on 4 July 2024. This was the first time the tournament was hosted in Abha. The Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City was built and opened in 1984. The stadium was used as a venue for the 2022 Arab Cup U-20 and the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup, and the 2019 AFC Asian Cup. The Saudi Super Cup ( ar, كأس السوبر السعودي) is an annual super cup football match organised by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. Founded in 2013 as a two-team competition, the current version has been contested since 2022–23 by four teams: the winners and runners-up of the King Cup and Pro League. The competition was held the week before the season begins in Saudi Arabia from 2013 until 2018. Since the 2019 edition it has been held mid-season. Abha Football Club () is a professional Saudi Arabian association football club based in Abha that is currently playing in the Saudi Professional League, the highest tier of Saudi football. Their home stadium is Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium. They were first promoted to the top flight in 2005 when they finished as runners up in the First Division. 2019 AFC Asian Cup
The 2019 AFC Asian Cup was the 17th edition of the AFC Asian Cup, the quadrennial international men's football championship of Asia organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). It was held in the United Arab Emirates from 5 January to 1 February 2019. For the first time, the Asian Cup final tournament was contested by 24 teams, having been expanded from the 16-team format that was used from 2004 to 2015. 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup
The 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup, officially named the 2023 King Salman Club Cup ( ar, كأس الملك سلمان للأندية 2023) after Salman of Saudi Arabia, where the final tournament was hosted, was the 30th season of the Arab Club Champions Cup, the Arab world's club football tournament organised by UAFA. A total of 37 teams participated in the tournament, which started with preliminary and qualifying rounds, before the final tournament was held in Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2023 across four cities: Abha, Al Bahah, Khamis Mushait and Taif. A total of $10 million of prize money was awarded.
