2024 SMU Mustangs Football Team
The 2024 SMU Mustangs football team will represent Southern Methodist University (SMU) in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) during the 2024 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Mustangs are expected to be led by Rhett Lashlee in his third year as the program's head coach. The Mustangs will play their home games at Gerald J. Ford Stadium in University Park, Texas. The 2024 season will be SMU's first in the ACC since moving from the American Athletic Conference. Wallace Wade Stadium, in full Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium, is a 40,004-seat outdoor stadium in the southeastern United States, located on the campus of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Stanford Stadium is an outdoor college football stadium on the west coast of the United States, located on the campus of Stanford University in Stanford, California. It is the home of the Stanford Cardinal and hosts the university's commencement exercises. Opened in 1921 as a football and track and field stadium, it was an earthen horseshoe with wooden bleacher seating and flooring upon a steel frame.
