2024 Ottawa Redblacks Season
The 2024 Ottawa Redblacks season is the tenth season for the team in the Canadian Football League. The Redblacks will attempt to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2018 and improve upon their league-worst 4–14 record from 2023. The team will attempt to win the second Grey Cup in Redblacks history and 11th in professional Ottawa football history. The 2024 CFL season is the second season for Bob Dyce as head coach and the third season for Shawn Burke as general manager. Canadian Football League East Division
The East Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League, its counterpart being the West Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the East Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. The four teams in the division are the Toronto Argonauts, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Montreal Alouettes, and Ottawa Redblacks. 2024 CFL Draft
The 2024 CFL National Draft is a selection of National players by Canadian Football League teams that is scheduled to take place in the spring of 2024. 74 players will be chosen from among eligible players from Canadian Universities across the country, as well as Canadian players playing in the NCAA. That number is subject to change if there are any forfeited selections. Format changes As per the 2022 collective bargaining agreement, beginning with this year's draft, the two teams that had National players featured in the highest percentage of snaps played in the 2023 CFL season will each be awarded an additional second-round pick. Prairie View A&M Panthers Football
The Prairie View A&M Panthers football team is the college football team representing the Prairie View A&M University. The Panthers play in NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). History The first football coach at Prairie View was Henry B. Hucles, who began in 1924. Before Hucles's arrival at Prairie View, the school played two games without a coach on record: a 1907 7–0 win against a team from Wylie, Texas and a 1920 7–6 loss to Tuskegee University. Longueuil () is a city in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is the seat of the Montérégie administrative region and the central city of the urban agglomeration of Longueuil. The Concordia Stingers are the athletic teams that represent Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. They compete with other schools in Canadian Interuniversity Sport, and more specifically in Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ; French for "Quebec Student Sports Network"). Daniel Okpoko (born May 25, 2000) is a Nigerian-Canadian professional football defensive lineman for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at San Diego State. Early life Okpoko was born in Lagos, Nigeria. He moved to Saskatoon when he was 11 years old. He played high school football at St. Joseph High School in Saskatoon. Okpoko recorded 8.5 sacks during the 2016 season. He participated in basketball and track in high school as well. Okpoko was also a member of the Football Canada U18 national team. College career Okpoko played for the San Diego State Aztecs from 2019 to 2023. He was redshirted in 2018. The Auburn Tigers football program represents Auburn University in the sport of American college football.
