They will look to improve on that record in 2024 under the guide of Aaron Boone, who is expected to enter his seventh year as manager of the Yankees. The American League East is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. MLB consists of an East, Central, and West division for each of its two 15-team leagues, the American League (AL) and National League (NL). The 2023 New York Yankees season is the 121st season for the New York Yankees franchise. The Yankees began the season on March 30 against the San Francisco Giants at home and will end the season on the road against the Kansas City Royals. Jhony Rafael Brito (born February 17, 1998) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the New York Yankees. Career New York Yankees Brito signed with the New York Yankees as an international free agent on November 9, 2015. He made his professional debut in 2016 with the Dominican Summer League Yankees. Michael King (baseball)
Michael McRae King (born May 25, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2019. Amateur career King attended Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick, Rhode Island. He played for the school's baseball team as a pitcher and an outfielder, and helped the team win the Division I state championship in 2012, his junior year. In 2013, he was named the Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year for Rhode Island after pitching to a 7–0 win–loss record and a 0.30 earned run average (ERA) with 67 strikeouts and seven walks in 47 innings pitched. Trenton Marcus Grisham ('' né'' Clark; born November 1, 1996) is an American professional baseball outfielder for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB). Richard Logan Fitts (born December 17, 1999) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the New York Yankees organization. Amateur career Fitts grew up in Helena, Alabama and attended Helena High School. As a senior, he had a 6–5 win–loss record on the mound with a 1.68 earned run average (ERA) and 102 strikeouts in innings pitched. Fitts enrolled at Auburn University to play college baseball for the Auburn Tigers. Gregory R. Weissert (born February 4, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball (MLB). The Yankees selected Weissert in the 18th round of the 2016 MLB Draft. He made his MLB debut in 2022.
