2024 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series
The 2024 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series was the sixteenth Racecar Euro Series season, and the twelfth under the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series branding. The season is scheduled to start on 13 April with the Valencia NASCAR Fest at Circuit Ricardo Tormo and will end on 13 October with the EuroNASCAR Finals at Circuit Zolder. Gianmarco Ercoli and Paul Jouffreau are the reigning champions in EuroNASCAR PRO and EuroNASCAR 2 respectively, although Jouffreau will not defend his title after he announced a full-time move to EuroNASCAR PRO. RDV Competition is the reigning Team's champion. Circuit Ricardo Tormo, also known as ''Circuit de Valencia'' and officially named ''Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo'', is a motorsport race track located in Cheste (Valencian Community, Spain) and built in 1999. The track is named after Spanish, two-time world champion Grand Prix motorcycle racer Ricardo Tormo (1952–1998), who died in 1998 of leukemia. It has a capacity of 165,000 and a main straight of . Pekaracing NV, competing as PK Carsport, is a racing team that currently competes in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series as well as the Belcar Trophy in conjunction with Russell Racing. The team has previously competed in other series such as the FIA GT Championship. History PK Carsport has a long history in Belgian autosport. 2019 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series
The 2019 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series is the eleventh Racecar Euro Series season, and the seventh under the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series branding. Alon Day and Ulysse Delsaux entered the season as the defending champion in the Elite 1 and Elite 2 category respectively, however Delsaux will not defend his title as he will move up to Elite 1 for the 2019 season. The Circuit Zolder, also known as Circuit Terlamen, is an undulating motorsport race track in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium. History Built in 1963, Zolder hosted the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix on 10 separate occasions in the 1970s and 1980s, as well as the 1980 Belgian motorcycle Grand Prix. F1 moved to Zolder in 1973 and with the exception of a race at Nivelles-Baulers in 1974, Zolder was the location of the Belgian Grand Prix until 1982. That year, Canadian driver Gilles Villeneuve was killed during qualifying at the 1982 Belgian Grand Prix. Villeneuve's Ferrari 126C2 collided at speed with the March 821 of Jochen Mass.
