2024 NAIA Women's Basketball Tournament
The 2024 NAIA women's basketball tournament was the annual tournament held by the NAIA to determine the national champion of women's college basketball among its member programs in the United States and Canada, culminating the 2023–24 NAIA women's basketball season. The tournament final were played at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa from March 21–26, 2024. Qualification The tournament again featured sixty-four teams in a simple single-elimination format. The first two preliminary rounds were played on regional campus sites on March 15–16, and all subsequent rounds were played from March 21–26 at the predetermined final tournament site in Sioux City. Tyson Events Center
The Fleet Farm Arena, formerly Gateway Arena, is a multi-purpose arena inside Tyson Events Center, located in Sioux City, Iowa and sponsored by Tyson Foods and Fleet Farm. The arena is commonly referred to as Tyson Events Center for marketing purposes. The arena has three spectator levels: one suite level and two general seating levels named the 100 level and the 200 level, respectively. Its official maximum capacity is 10,000. Owned by the City of Sioux City, it is located on the riverfront overlooking the Missouri River. The venue was operated by the city as well until January 2018 when the city contracted with Philadelphia-based venue management firm Spectra to handle matters such as booking, marketing, staffing and food and beverage service. NAIA Women's Basketball Championships
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Women's Basketball national championship has been held annually since 1981. The NAIA Women's Tournament was established one year before the NCAA Women's Basketball tournament. It was created to crown a women's national title for smaller colleges and universities. From 1992 to 2020, the NAIA sponsored a women's division II championship tournament. The entire tournament is played in Sioux City, Iowa. Prior to the merger of D-I and D-II, a separate Division I tournament was held in Billings, Montana, while the Division II tournament was in Sioux City. Contracts for host cities for both divisions initially expired in 2017. Following renewals, the 2018 and 2019 tournaments were held in the same cities, but in 2020, the tournaments were called off due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The 2024 NCAA Division III women's basketball tournament was the tournament hosted by the NCAA to determine the national champion of Division III women's college basketball among its member programs in the United States, culminating the 2023–24 season. It again featured a field of 64 teams. The first four rounds were played on campus sites, and the national semifinals and finals were held at the Capital University Performance Arena at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio from March 14–16, 2024. The 2024 NCAA Division II women's basketball tournament was the single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of women's NCAA NCAA Division II, Division II college basketball in the United States, culminating the 2023–24 NCAA Division II women's basketball season.
