The 2024 Melbourne Storm season is the 27th in the club's history, competing in the 2024 NRL season. The team is coached by Craig Bellamy, coaching the club for his 22nd consecutive season. 2024 NRL Season
The 2024 NRL season will be the 117th season of professional rugby league in Australia and the 27th season run by the National Rugby League. Teams The lineup of teams in the league remained unchanged after the admission of the Dolphins (NRL), Dolphins into the competition in the previous season, with seventeen participating in the regular season: ten from New South Wales, four from Queensland and one from each of Victoria, Australia, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory and New Zealand. Erevonu Tuicaumatalevu "Tui" Kamikamica (born 18 May 1994) is a Fijian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a for the Melbourne Storm in the National Rugby League (NRL) and Fiji at international level. Early life Kamikamica was born in Taveuni, Fiji. He was raised in the village of Somosomo on the Fijian island of Taveuni, and played rugby union and was educated at Queen Victoria School, Nasinu in his youth. He was scouted by the Parramatta Eels while playing for the Fijian Schoolboys rugby union team in late 2012. Playing career Kamikamica moved to Australia to play rugby league for the Eels' NYC team in 2013 and 2014. The Gold Coast Titans are a professional rugby league football club, based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Josh Addo-Carr (born 28 July 1995) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a er for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the National Rugby League (NRL) and Australia at international level. Samuel Hughes (born 31 January 2001) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a front rower for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the NRL. Background Hughes was born in Cronulla, New South Wales. The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in Belmore, a suburb in the Canterbury-Bankstown region of Sydney. 2022 Melbourne Storm Season
The 2022 Melbourne Storm season was the 25th in the club's history, competing in the 2022 NRL season. The team was coached by Craig Bellamy, coaching the club for his 20th consecutive season and for the second straight season, Melbourne had co-captains with Jesse Bromwich (second season), and Christian Welch (first season) sharing the duties, following the departure of Dale Finucane. The Michael Moore Trophy is a rugby league trophy usually contested biannually during the National Rugby League season, in matches between the Melbourne Storm and the New Zealand Warriors. The Michael Moore Trophy was introduced in 2000 following the death of Melbourne Storm's inaugural football manager, Michael Moore, on 6 February 2000 in Auckland, New Zealand. New Zealand Warriors
The New Zealand Warriors are a professional rugby league football club based in Auckland, New Zealand that competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) premiership and is the League's only team from outside Australia. They were formed in 1995 as the Auckland Warriors, and are officially known as the One New Zealand Warriors for sponsorship reasons. The Warriors are coached by Andrew Webster and captained by Tohu Harris. The Warriors are based at Mount Smart Stadium in the Auckland suburb of Penrose. Xavier Coates (born 12 March 2001) is a Papua New Guinea international rugby league footballer who plays as a er for the Melbourne Storm in the NRL. He previously played for the Brisbane Broncos. He has played for Queensland in the State of Origin series. Early life Coates was born in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea to a mother from the Gulf Province in PNG and an Australian father.
