The 2024 LA Galaxy season is the club's 29th season in Major League Soccer, the top tier of the American soccer pyramid. LA Galaxy play their home matches at Dignity Health Sports Park in the Los Angeles suburb of Carson, California. The Galaxy open the season on February 25, 2024, hosting Inter Miami CF. LA Galaxy, also known as the Los Angeles Galaxy, are an American professional soccer club based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The Galaxy competes in Major League Soccer (MLS), as a member of the Western Conference. The club began play in 1996 as one of the league's 10 charter members. The Galaxy were founded in 1994 and are owned by Anschutz Entertainment Group (also owners of 50% of the Los Angeles Kings, as well as an interest in the Los Angeles Lakers). LA Galaxy II is an American professional soccer team based in the Los Angeles suburb of Carson, California, United States founded in 2014. It is the reserve team of the LA Galaxy. The team competes in MLS Next Pro, the third tier of the United States soccer league system, having previously played in the USL Championship. Aaron Le Forestier Banind Bibout (born 3 September 2004) is a Cameroonian professional footballer who currently plays for LA Galaxy in MLS. Joseph Paintsil (born 1 February 1998) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Major League Soccer club LA Galaxy and the Ghana national team.
