2024 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup
The 2024 ICC Men's Under-19 Cricket World Cup is an international limited-overs cricket tournament that is scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka in 2024. It is the fifteenth edition of the tournament and the third to be held in Sri Lanka, after 2000 and 2006. Sri Lanka is the second country after New Zealand to host the tournament on three occasions. India are the defending champions. Qualification Eleven teams qualified automatically for the 2024 World Cup, while the remaining five teams will decided by regional qualifiers with one qualifier from each ICC development region. Limited overs cricket, also known as one-day cricket or white ball cricket, is a version of the sport of cricket in which a match is generally completed in one day. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The 2000 Under-19_Cricket_World_Cup, ICC Under-19 World Cup was an international limited-overs cricket tournament played in Sri Lanka from 11 to 28 January 2000. It was the third edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup and the first to be held in Sri Lanka. The 2000 World Cup was contested by sixteen teams, including three making their tournament debuts. The Nepal national under-19 cricket team represents Nepal in under-19 international cricket. It is governed by Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), which is an associate member of International Cricket Council (ICC). The 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup qualification was a series of regional qualification tournaments to determine the final five places at the 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. The ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup is an international cricket tournament organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) contested by national under-19 teams.
