2024 Goodyear 400
The 2024 Goodyear 400 was a NASCAR Cup Series race held on May 12, 2024, at Darlington Raceway in Darlington, South Carolina. Contested over 293 laps on the egg-shaped oval, it was the 13th race of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season and the 68th running of the event. Brad Keselowski, driving for his co-owned RFK Racing team, won the race, marking his first win since the 2021 GEICO 500 110 races previously, and in the process becoming the first owner-driver to win a Cup race since Tony Stewart at the 2016 Toyota/Save Mart 350, and it was Ford's first win with the seventh-generation Mustang. 2024 NASCAR Cup Series
The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series is the 76th season for NASCAR professional stock car racing in the United States and the 53rd season for the modern-era Cup Series. The pre-season started with the Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum, Busch Light Clash on February 3 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The Clash would then be followed by the Bluegreen Vacations Duel qualifying races on February 15. The season would then officially kick off with the 66th running of the 2024 Daytona 500, Daytona 500 (the first points race of the season) on February 19, both at Daytona International Speedway. The season will end with the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway on November 10. NASCAR Cup Series
The NASCAR Cup Series is the top racing series of the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR). The series began in 1949 as the Strictly Stock Division, and from 1950 to 1970 it was known as the Grand National Division. In 1971, when the series began leasing its naming rights to the R. J. Michael Christopher McDowell (born December 21, 1984) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 34 Ford Mustang for Front Row Motorsports. He has also raced in open-wheel and sports cars. McDowell began his career in open-wheel cars, which included competing in Formula Renault and Champ Car, and in sports cars like the Rolex Sports Car Series and 24 Hours of Daytona. Justin C. Haley (born April 28, 1999) is an American professional stock car racing driver and businessman.
