The 2024 NEO.bet European Darts Grand Prix was the fourth of thirteen PDC European Tour events on the 2024 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at the Glaspalast, Sindelfingen, Germany from 19 to 21 April 2024. It featured a field of 48 players and £175,000 in prize money, with £30,000 going to the winner. Rob Cross was the defending champion after defeating Luke Humphries 8–6 in the 2023 final. Ian White (born 17 August 1970), nicknamed Diamond, is an English professional darts player currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. White is the winner of 13 PDC ranking events, and has reached many quarter-finals in majors. In 2019, he reached his first major semi final. Career In 1997, White reached the final of the PDC's revived News of the World Darts Championship. He defeated Des Byrne, Gary Spedding, Peter Manley and Andy Jenkins on the way to the final, where he was defeated by Phil Taylor. Nathan Aspinall (born 15 July 1991) is an English professional darts player currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. PDC Order Of Merit
The PDC Order of Merit is a world ranking system used by one of the darts organisations, the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Following the 2007 PDC World Darts Championship it superseded a world ranking system based on points being awarded for performances in ranking tournaments. How it works The Order of Merit is similar to that employed in golf's European Tour. Prize money won during the previous two seasons is calculated and the rankings are determined from this money list. 2014 German Darts Championship
The 2014 German Darts Championship was the first of eight PDC European Tour events on the 2014 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at Halle 39 in Hildesheim, Germany, between 31 January–2 February 2014. It featured a field of 48 players and £100,000 in prize money, with £20,000 going to the winner. Gary Anderson won his first and last European Tour event by defeating Justin Pipe 6–5 in the final. Luke Humphries (born 11 February 1995) is an English professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He won the 2019 PDC World Youth Championship. Career Humphries won five PDC Development Tour titles in 2017, finishing top of the Development Tour Order of Merit. As a result of this, he qualified for the 2018 PDC World Darts Championship where he lost to Jeff Smith, and received a PDC Tour Card for the 2018 and 2019 season. 2019 He also won the Development Tour Order of Merit in 2019, a year which culminated in a fantastic run at the 2019 World Championship for Humphries.
